Disney land purchase

Disney does this a lot so they have more usable land I don't think this has anything to do with a 5th park yet at least. Disney changes up the categories of their land all the time and buy and sell small pieces of land all the time. Disney has land that they need to preserve and can't build on sometimes buying more land opens up some of that other land allowing them to build on previously unusable land.

Turns out I was asleep when I made that post and in full DREAM mode. Disney has a lot of work to do in the four parks it currently has to maximize them IMO.

This! The saw the permit connected to this land purchase and use 350 more acres back in August. In the permit Disney is asking for permission to designate which wetlands they want to use at the time they file a permit for each specific project instead of having to declare it up front. If they had planned to designate a single large chunk of land to one project I don't think they would have asked for this flexibility. To me this sounds more like they plan to do smaller expansions around the property and want the freedom do this as needed.

It's interesting to note that the South Florida Water Managment District has sent a letter back to Reedy Creek looking for more information, and it doesn't sound like they are comfortable with giving them this freedom. Reedy has still not responded to these concerns.
