Well.. i am a disney world expert but have never been to disney land before.. I was wondering if anyone had any interesting fun facts, secretes, or hidden mickey locations that they would be willing to share!! I am excited to go and am looking forward to learning some new information!! Thanks for sharing!! :jumping1:

My suggestion would be to get the Hidden Mickey book. They sell it at the WOD store, I'm pretty sure. It's always in my sports bag when I go to the park :goodvibes.

Even though all of the locations are basically right in front of me, I still have a hard time finding most of the hidden mickeys :lmao:

thank you.. i was thinking about purchasing that.. i have the same problem.. i know that they are right there and still cant find them. lol!!! :D

I will have to buy that. Thx for the idea.

There is a hidden eyeore in the Indiana Jones ride.

There are SOOOOOO many.

I will give you a fun fact to help with what may be your biggest shock as a "WDW expert" visiting Disneyland.

Background:
When Walt built Disneyland, he put every penny he had into it. The Matterhorn was built to be the center, eye-focal point of the Park. When it came time to build the castle, he did so with the funds available. When WDW was built, he was in a much different financial position. Also, the castle was made as the center, focal-point of the Park. For the above reasons, the castle at Disneyland is MUCH (as in OMG!) smaller than the castle at the MK. So much so that WDW-regulars often wonder, "What happened to the castle?" While Disneyland-regulars often ask, "Why on Earth is it sooooo giant!!?!"

Now the fun fact:
At Disneyland, all of Main Street is an optical illusion to make your brain decide that the castle is actually larger than it really is. Main Street ever so slightly narrows as it heads from the Main Gate towards the castle. The 2nd stories of the buildings on Main Street are 2/3 the size of the first floors. All of this makes your brain think that the castle is further away than it really is; therefore having your mind draw the conclusion that the castle is larger than it really is.

Enjoy your visit to DL,

I bought the Hidden Mickey book on Amazon. That way I had it before the trip and it probably cost less than at the parks.

One thing interesting I heard was the mis-matched bricks by the lockers off of Main Street are there because they were testing different types of brick styles. I don't know if that's true but I can't think why else they would be like that. :confused3

I can never find that!! I know it's there and I know where to look but maybe I'm just blind :confused3. And I once asked a CM if she could point me to where it was and she said that they had taken it out :sad1:.

I hope not. I know that you needed a flash light.

It's still there.

A flash light wouldn't help, a spot light would.

To see the Eeyore it's very tricky. There are all sorts of legends about it, some I've evev heard from CMs.

What it is is the old eeyore sign from the eeyore part of the parking lot. Indy was built over this sections of lot.

To see it:
In the room where you watch the movie, you have just walked under it. Look back and up, you swill see scaff holding with stuff on top. As you exit the movie room, that's where you are told how the seatbelts work, go through the doorway, where the que divides and makes a left. You want to step aside here and let everyone else out of the movie room and ahead of you. Go back toward the doorway you just came through. While the next group watches the movie look back over all the stuff on the scaffholding. Use the doorway to block the direct light from the movie. Some of the reflected light will slightly illuminate the rear off that room. Look over the scaffholding as far back as you can see. Eeyore is the sign that is flat against the rear room wall.

SkiingFast....Last night us dis'ers were told "see that white poof of a cloud, yep thats eeyore." I responded no it isnt, and she was liek YES IT IS. Eeyore is not a cloud. She frustrated me :headache:

Lets see Disney secrets. I have a ton up my sleeve.....
Over on the far right side of Haunted Man. tehres a graveyard...I saw it once, its actually pretty cool.

Pirates: Theres one skull in there that a cast member told me was real. NOW, it is however darker than any others in the ride.....but I still dont know about this one.

In the baby care center theres a picture of Walt Disney as a baby.

Find the gold spike under the castle

Toon town- WD trees. in the shape of W and D

Above the Fire Station theres a small dimly lit candle its on the LEft side of mainstree when you come in the gates. That was walts room which he would watch over the park ect.

Club 33- right by pirates has a big 33 is a very expensive club only some are allowed into.

If it's not illuminated well I could see it as cloud like. It is really black back there and eeyore sticks out because he is a little lighter.

Can't forget about the not so secret, Secret Bathroom in FL.

Some hidden Mickeys: My favorite one is in the center of the shield on pirates on the left side right before you go up the hill at the end.
The train in FL...check out the instrument panel where the conductor sits. There are a few in Winnie the Pooh. Some in the rocks when you wait in line for Goofy's rollercoaster. Country bear jamboree crew are inside the Winnie the Pooh ride. You can ride in the nose of the monorail if ask and wait patiently. You can ride with the captain on the Mark Twain, again be patient, just ask. Just a few things.
