Hello all, I am planning a trip and staying at Grand Californian Hotel. Can anyone explain the Disney Land Express, or post a link about it? I am looking for Disney transportation from LAX to the hotel, and back again. Thanks from Maryland (we have snow here for Easter!!).

I know alot about it! I have used it all 3 times I have been.

From LAX: Once you claim your baggage, make your way to the Green Island outside all terminals. A bus with Disneyland "wrap" will arrive and that is the Disneyland Express. The driver will put your luggage in the bus, and ask you what hotel you're going to. Depending on how many people are on the bus and what hotels they are going to will decide your trip time.

To LAX: Depending at what hotel your staying at... if you are staying at the Disneyland Hotel... go across the entrance to the Airport Shuttle sign, and buses will arrive there. Otherwise, the bus will arrive at times scheduled and then drop you off at the Disneyland Hotel to get the buses that go to the airport.

so, if you are staying at the GC you can just walk to the airport shuttle sign near the Disneyland Hotel? How long before your flight should you take the shuttle?

Thanks to all, you guys are great. Last time I was out west was to be on the "Price Is Right", but that was no where near Disneyland! Happy Easter!:cheer2:

Let me see... I have the schedule...

Los Angeles Airport to Anaheim Resort:

After exiting the baggage claim area, please proceed to the center island. The Disneyland Express picks up underneath the overhead Green sign.

Hourly Departures: 6:00 AM-10:00 AM
Departures every 1/2 hour: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Hourly departures: 7:00-12:00AM

Pick-ups begin on the hour and the half hour starting at T1. Please allow 3-5 mins for pick ups between terminals. Travel time is approx 45 mins depending on traffic.

The Grand Californian is on the D schedule which means...

At :45 past the hour a bus comes, and takes you to the Disneyland Hotel. You should expect a bus every hour and arriving at LAX a hour later. The first bus leaves Disneyland Hotel at 5:00 AM and gets at LAX at 6:00. This goes on till 9:00 PM which is the last bus. Gets into LAX at 10:00 PM.

You should plan to arrive at the airport at least 2 hrs prior to departure for domestic flights and 3 hrs for international.

Hope that clears everything up!

Thinking about it... You put yourself in a good position to do things, because you aren't exactly stuck to the "D" schedule. If you miss a bus no big deal, you can walk over.

The shuttle recommends to arrive at the airport 2 hrs before a domestic flight and 3 for a international flight.

I have a question, great Disneyland Express Expert.

We're staying at Disneyland Hotel, and our flight out of LAX departs at 11:45am. Should we plan on catching the 9:00am Disneyland bus to LAX? Or do we really need to catch the 8:00am bus? If it affects things, we'll be departing on a Tuesday morning.

If you honestly think you can make the flight... go for the later bus.

Just remember all the things you need to take into account, time to get things packed, making sure you have everything, check-out of hotel, travel time to LAX, traffic, line ups for check-in and security etc.

I would personally take the earlier bus, because it at least leaves me with some room for problems. I mean you never know what might happen.

Worse comes to worse, you have time to grab a bite at the airport or just talk about all the fun times you had.

I was afraid you'd say that. 8:00am it is. I imagine the biggest concern would be the traffic situation between Anaheim and LAX, and that we'd most likely be in rush hour traffic.

Catching breakfast at the airport is a good idea.

I wouldn't want to be late that's the main thing. I recently experienced the stress involved with not knowing if you were going to make it and I wouldn't want you to go through that.

Stress? Me? :rotfl:

You should see the stress I go through while driving to the Philly airport and we hit traffic.
