Disney Kennel

How nice is the Disney Kennel? We are extremely close with our dog so we are considering just bringing him down with us just so he could be closer but it is also a lot of money so is it worth it?

Disneyland or Disney World? I see your ticker says DIsney World so just want to clarify that the kennel at Disney World is not owned or operated by Disney. It is a Best Friends Pet Care. I have a friend who uses it and loves it. She takes her dog to dogie day care there since she works at Celebration Hospital and sometimes he is alone for too long. Her boarder collie mix loves it and she gets updates about his day and what dogs he played with.

It is not convenient if you are relying on Disney transportation as there isn't a shuttle or anything. Also if your dog is not dog friendly then they will be alone all day in the kennel and will not be allowed to go to group play.

Thank you!! My dog is actually dog friendly but he does get VERY excited around people, he will bark a lot and jump up on them it can be kind of annoying but once there are other dogs around he seems to calm down more but will still bark. Would this be an issue with the group play?

Probably not. As long as it isn't aggressive they are most likely use to jumpers. As long as he is just excited there shouldn't be an issue. I can't guarantee anything but your pup does sound like they would have a lot of fun and their own vacation.

The Best friends kennel at Disney World is really close to Port Orleans Riverside, if you stayed there you could probably walk to the kennel if you wanted. I know we passed it what felt like everytime we left the resort. No experience on pets there though, we boarded our dog close to home.

We've boarded our dog there and haven't found a kennel that we have liked nearly as much ever since, which stinks!

Loved them. Theresa. Thread on the resorts board about it. They were great with my dog and gave hand written report cards each day, etc. we stayed at POR and walked there to visit.
