It stinks to get this far into the process and have this happen. So sorry.
Better luck on the next one.

Just wondering, what did they take?

Sorry to hear that. Hope you'll post your results (which resort, how much) over on the ROFR super-thread.

Sorry to hear. I am also curious to hear what resort and price point.

Hi

It was 240 points coming February 2015 at BLT $95 a point with 4 points banked from 2014. Seller was paying 1/2 of settlement.

:(

Hmmm. That price seems pretty typical of resale. I wonder if the seller paying 1/2 is what flagged it for Disney?

I have always heard that Disney prefers that the buyer pay all the closing costs as they count that towards the purchase price.

The price does seem pretty standard. They must have roped somebody into paying $165pp though. ;)

Unlike the rest of us, Disney can split up a contract to sell it again. I think larger contracts with full points are more desirable to hem, unlike the premium we pay for small contracts in the resale market. Half of closing basically brings that pice down to $89-91/point. I haven't seen a BLT ROFR'd in a while, and I wouldn't have expected it at that price, but Disney does some strange things that keep us on our toes.

Half of closing would only be about $300 … so really only $1 or $2 dollars a point … bringing it down to $93/$94.

And it wasn't a loaded contract -- only 4 points for 2014.

Very surprised this was taken.

In August 2014, DVD exercised ROFR on 9 BLT deeds containing 1,255 points. The weighted average price per point paid was about $91.16.

Sorry to hear. I know how it feels. Same thing happened to me on a SSR contract in July with seller to pay MF. We tried not to lose sleep over it and made another offer in on that same day we got the bad news. We're now waiting for the contract to close.

:flower3:

So sorry to have read your post.... what a disappointment! To wait that long... I would have thought it would have passed like others said.

I hope you find a contract and it passes... maybe quickly :)

Thanks everybody, it was very disappointing. However good news, we did find another and the offer was accepted so hoping we get this one and it moves fast....lol
