Disney Just Called Me

I am a newbie. I have 2 questions:

What is the Visa cardholder picture at Epcot?
What is the special pin?
The Visa Cardholder picture is for people with the Chase Disney Visa. In the newsletter they send every couple of months it will have a list of park happenings and specials you can get with your Disney Visa, such as special pins, the photo op and a discount at World of Disney.

The special pin is a pin that is released to commemorate an event. They are limited release and in this case I believe you have to ask for them at checkout, they aren't out with the regular pins.

I just think the old way would be easier. I would imagine they will start decorating before 7.How will the CM's be able to set up for the party, hand out wristbands and police the non ticket holders at teh same time? It just sounds like too much going on at once. I just hope it works out.

Thanks! I just received my Disney VISA about a month ago. I will have to look out for the newsletter.

I bet this will be a stupid question.....does the special pin cost money?

Yes, the Visa pins will be shown in your newsletter with prices. The event pins are usually 12.95 if I remember correctly and there is a limit to how many you can buy per person, don't remember the limit though.

I'm getting increasingly frustrated with the conflicting answers Disney keeps giving people. It's time for another email from me....

oh well they claim they will be policing this even from front to back... i guess i will have to see it to believe it!

Well, Eric from Disney Executive Offices called me tonight too! He said basically what he told the other poster. They will remind everyone entering the park that day about the park closing early for the party. He said that they will make several announcements in the late afternoon and at 6pm they will make a "time to head for the gate" announcement for non-party guests and begin sweeping the park from back to front and only those with wristbands will be allowed to stay. He said they are posting extra CM's on all walkways, in shops and restaurants. And they are also advising all CM's working vendor carts to check for wristbands. He assured me that they have been working on their plans for these changes for a while now and they feel they have a good game plan on how to handle it. He said emphatically that it will be a hard ticketed event and that anyone found without a band will be removed immediately. He also said that if I see someone without a band who might have tried some sneaky way to stay in the parks, that I should feel free to report them to the nearest CM. He said if I have any further concerns or questions I should feel free to call him back.

(.He said that many guests from previous parties had complained about the "one land" process, that is what led them to try something new this year.

HI Karen :goodvibes my ? is we may not have to go to one land as they did in the passed years.

Thank You for your time and help.

have a good day

MARY ;)

Mary, from I was told they will not have guests wait in one land, the whole park will be open.

SOUNDS GOOD TO ME!

I started a post, but didn't get many responses, so I'm posting it here. I hope you don't mind. I'd just like some info, since I am a newbie. :goodvibes

I know there are a few threads out there about MNSSHP, but I didn't see any with the info. I needed, so I hope some veterans can help a newbie out! I need to know how early we will be able to enter the park with our MNSSHP tickets? Also, what places are open to eat? Thanks!

From what I was told it would be from 4PM on, and AFAIK Tony's, LTT, & CP are open for dinner--someone else might have other info but I don't know. We are eating at The Plaza for the latest lunch seating in order a little "lighter".

HTH!

Many thanks to all of you who emailed and made calls :thumbsup2

Hopefully Disney follows thru and clears all the Moochers out of the park.

However, someone else just reported a phone conversation with a higher up type, who told her they were NOT closing the park at 6:00!!! That they were making announcements throughout the day, and possibly when people were entering in the morning. And that there would be CMs all over the place, double checking on wristbands.
I sure do wish we could get a definative answer here. I think that Disney will leave the park open, but have a ton of CMs around, checking out people's forearms. I would imagine that by the time the parade comes, most non-ticket holders will be gone. At least that's my fervant hope. I just can't imagine that Disney is going to open itself up to the huge outcry if they allow those 'day' people to stay after 7:00...I just can't see it. Hopefully, a large scale sweep will happen, and people will leave. Those people should all realize that the park closes at 7:00.

My thought is that these CM's are reading the same script but looking at one different opening line. :P

Chances are they look at the website, see the 7:00 opening still posted and make up some bull story about why that may be, peppered with how they plan to get people out of the park anyway.

HI :goodvibes thank you
for your time and all the info.
Have a nice day .

GOD BLESS ;)

Oh, isn't that brilliant to suggest offloading CM work to guests by asking them to police the crowds and turn in "sneaky sneaks" to the nearest CM??!?? WTH?? Do we get an employee discount too then?

He suggested that there will be announcements made throughout the day and especially closer to 6pm.

How can announcements be made? I understood that the MK has no P.A. system.

Yes it does, but they don't generally use it for "annoucements".

How do you suppose they supply the audio for Wishes and the parades without a "PA System" (and a very GOOD one, too.)

I know they supply the audio for the parades and Wishes, I just assumed they did not have the capability to make "announcements" as well, such as, maybe no microphone?

the proof is in the pudding...

think the best answer will come from our inside "guinea pigs";)

In response to prev. poster, yes the past MVMCP was chaotic (but still enjoyable).

thanks to welovdis for posting:thumbsup2

we shall wait & see.

Will we be able to get on any rides at this time or are we not allowed to until 7pm? I'm a little confused still. :)
