Definitely a good trade, you will love it there! We stayed there last June and will head back in December. We stayed in Hawaii, but I remember lots of people saying the garden view rooms in Fiji are nice. Once Tikiman's website is up, look at the layout and see which location you like best.

$119 a night at the Contemporary Resort? I've heard of good rates (like the $166 the OP was paying), but I've never heard of a rate that good. Care to explain how you got that rate?

Has anyone else gotten a call about this?

We are booked for std wing room at CR for July 22-28th. We have been unable to get any sort of discount there (AP or AAA). We have passed up offers with lower AP rates because the boys REALLY want to stay at the CR. I am a little concerned that may not be an option now???

I would really like to know if anyone else has been contacted!

Thanks again for ALL the great tips!!! I have already been to almost everyone site and I am even more excited then I was yesturday after looking at how beautiful the Poly is!!!!

Cajunfan...from what the disney rep said it was my particular room that was undergoing an unforseen reno. When I tried to dig deeper she really wouldn't give me any info. She kept going back to her statement "unforseen reno". I hope this helps and that your boys have a great trip!!!

Our best "Pixie Dust" trip was a surprise trip for Halloween weekend a few years ago. We were surprising my husband's children with a weekend trip to Disney, leaving Thursday night after school. When we got to the airport, we found that our flight was canceled, and as we live in a small city there were no other flights that could accommodate us that night. We could leave first thing in the morning, but I just knew that Disney would charge us for the night we didn't use because we canceled at such short notice.

Not only did Disney not charge us for that night, the GF put us in a SUITE with 2 BR, 3 full baths, a sitting room with a wet bar, and 4 balconies. This for the same price as 2 gardenview rooms. Oh, and the airline upgraded us to first class on the way out. We'll never top that trip ...it was amazing, and that's before we ever set foot in a park!
