Disney junior seating

I have read the fast pass+ seating for the disney junior show is less than ideal. We do have a fp booked, but if the standby line looks short should we switch over and go in that way? We are going next week when crowds should be lower.

I saw photos somewhere of the FP+ section for that show and I instantly changed to something else. It's so low that little ones won't even be able to see the characters legs.

We walked in 5 minutes before the show with no FP+, the reason why the seats are so low is because you sit on the floor. There are also some benches in the corners. I know if I tried to sit on the floor after running around DHS all day, I wasn't getting up.

Also, seeing the characters legs are not of any concern whatsoever...:rotfl2:

I can't imagine any disney junior fast pass worth it unless they gave you a chair to sit in. We only went to that twice because it's so uncomfortable to sit trough on the floor.

We did the FP last year for Disney Jr. We had great seats front and center but I think it wouldn't have mattered if we sat farther out. It's a small theater and you sit on the floor. It is extremely uncomfortable. By the end of the show the adults were helping to hoist one another up. DD, 3, loved it though. I would skip the FP.

We did fp for this. We were in the center section. I don't think it matters too much where you sit.

I was shocked when we walked in and it was just seating on the floor. I was looking forward to relaxing in a nice cushy seat. My knees give me problems and it was very difficult getting down on the floor and getting comfortable was impossible. You just find a place and plop down with everyone else. I couldn't believe there were no seats, even folding-chair type seats would be better than sitting on the floor!

Doesn't sound like a good place for an old grandpa with one knee replacement and a possible future one?

Not the best choice BUT they do have a limited number of benches in the back for people to sit on who have difficulty getting down on the floor. They typically fill with grandpa-types. ;)

You can also stand in the back, many adults chose to do this when we were there. I was just so tired and I could not stand another second, my back was hurting and my legs were weak. It was either be uncomfortable on the floor or attempt to stand in the back.

I was so surprised Disney does not put seating in there. Like I said in my previous post, it can't cost that much to buy some folding chairs and set them up like a typical audience. They could even leave a huge space in the front empty so little ones can sit and then the adults could sit in the chairs surrounding the open area.

Sounds like they should do something simple, like at Turtle Talk. That is a nice setup.

I would not recommend getting a FP+ for this attraction. They really messed up the sight lines for this show and the closer you are to the stage the less you are able to see. It's particularly bad for smaller children. Seriously, your best bet is to be further back in the stand-by line so you are automatically seated in the back of the auditorium. When you enter, CM's will ask you to "fill in" the seating areas, but you really want to stay as back and center as you can. If you are going during a slow time, I would show up about 10 minutes prior to the show and just get in the stand-by line.

I'm not sure how you can strategize yourself into the back. We were in the standby line towards the back, but they filled the theater in sections: middle, right, left. We were in the front of the left. I think we could have plopped down further back, but that would have been rude.

I think if you have an issue standing or a boisterous child you could ask a CM to sit in the back.

Great, we are going tomorrow and were planning to fp Disney junior. Now it's sounding like we shouldn't.... Need to decide soon, not sure what we should do! Does DJ usual reach capacity for a show?

Here's the deal from me - mom with a wonderful little redhead boy who LOVES Disjr.:

If you get a FP+:

You don't have to stand in the annoying long *** line while cms are letting the FP peeps in. You also don't have to listen to the disjr theme music any longer than needed or deal with obnoxious toddlers (cause my baby is perfect, right? :rotfl2:)

You can get in and get things settled and not have to step on people or juggle sippy cups, snacks and such all while the show is getting ready to go, and toddlers are stepping on you and its starting get dark - etc.

You also get to pick your time instead of go to line up and find out the show is full up and now you have meltdown because little one can't see Sophia and Doc.

You do get to wait. And wait. While people step on you. And toddlers step on you. And then the cm's want you to move up, which means you have to haul your butt up from a prime center position to an area which is too close to the stage and you can't see anything but up the performers skirt, and a little bit of Mickey's ears. Ok, slight exaggeration, but the cm's CONSTANTLY telling you to move up gets pretty annoying.

If you don't get a FP, you do have to wait in what can be a long line (maybe not long right now), and wait a while only to get some bad spot in the far side. Think Disney parking lots - when get to the parking lot late in the day and there are CLEARLY spots up front because people have left in the middle of the day, and the cms still point you to the very furthest spot from the park? Yeah, like that.

If you get a FP, try to sit in the middle to the back of the center area. If you do not get a FP, try to sit close to the center and middle to back. Try to ignore where the cms point you to - and I would never say that normally, but hey, every man for himself in open seating! There are benches in the back. CMs will ask you to move forward, which is why middle to back is best, unless you feel like looking up the performers nose the entire time.

Otherwise - cute show for the 4 and under crowd. And very cute for their parents to watch the 4 and under dance and sing too!

Thanks for all the info on this! As a follow up, we did go in the fast pass line, but not until it had been let in, so we were towards the back. We were told to sit on the side but listened to the advice on the board and ignored and sat in the centre section. By that point we were at the back of the centre section. This waswrfect since our daughter could stand to watch without span tone behind us.
