Hey everyone so I am excited about out trip. I know it's still 6 months away but still love planning for it. I know they redid this book and put a new one out this year. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find out exactly which characters are in this book? I want to use this book for autographs and I want to make sure all the characters we see will be in this book. Thanks so much!

We ordered it from Amazon and used it on a trip just last month. It does not have any of the Disney Junior characters, so we had them sign inside the cover. There are other characters that are not there, but we found that almost led to more interesting meet and greets -- for instance, Frozone doesn't have his own entry, but he's in the photo with Mr. Incredible. When we went to that meet and greet, he was obviously annoyed that his phot was so small. So we told him to just sign as big as he could -- he liked our idea, and we got the John Hancock of Frozone signatures.

Thanks so much! Are the Winnie the Pooh characters in there? And the fairy god mother? Tiana and Merida? Toy story characters? Sorry for all the questions lol.

Yes for fairy godmother and all the princesses. I'm fairly certain on Pooh, but not necessarily all of his friends. Yes for the toy story ones -- we had both Buzz & Woody sign ours.

This is a fantastic idea - and one I actually planned as well. Does anyone know if they update this book on an annual basis with different characters (the newer ones?)

I planned on my kids having an autograph book, but using this as my autograph book, and one I could keep out at home. We aren't going on our trip until Nov 2015 and was debating waiting until closer to that date to purchase in case they update with new characters.

I don't know how often they update the book. The old book before was published in 2004. When we went to Disney in 2012 I wanted to do this with autographs but they didn't have any of the newer characters in it. Then we went to disney April of this year and I ended up making my own autograph books. When I found out they were updating this book in June 2014 I was so mad, lol...They couldn't of released it like 4 months earlier, lol. So now that we are going again in 2015 I am definitely getting the new book and using it, lol

They don't update it annually. The newest characters to join the Disney lineup--the characters from Frozen--are all in it. So I think it's as up-to-date as it's going to get. They do seem to limit themselves to a certain number of pages, and from what i've read they did eliminate some characters that were in earlier versions. I would assume that the Disney Junior characters didn't make the cut either because their audience is so limited and they don't have wide appeal to anyone much beyond the preschool set (my own daughter being a rare exception!), or because the characters in the book are all associated with movies, and the Disney Junior characters are TV only. The old tv star vs. movie star debate. LOL.

I went and grabbed ours, and I think the movie theory probably explains it. All the characters who are in it are featured in Disney movies. The closest that come to toe the line are Periwinkle and Zarina, who are from movies, albeit straight to DVD movies. I also stand corrected...I think Zarina is probably the most recently introduced character to be featured in it (not the Frozen characters, as I stated above).

For the person asking about Pooh...yes, he's in it, along with Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet. All the characters you mentioned are in it.

If you have a barnes & noble account, you can log in and view the index of the book online. I just ordered mine today! I've also read other threads where people have gone to Staples and had them remove the binding and make it a spiral bound, and add pages of characters that are missing; like the Disney Jr. characters. I'm considering doing this as well!

Last time when I just had 1 grandchild we did the autograph book with the photo space beside the page and it is wonderful. This time I think we will do the book.

Someone else who isn't in it, Mary Poppins. But, she's not animated so that's why

We brought a pillow case to use as our back up for autographs. Well, we had all characters sign it and if they had a page in the book we had them sign it too.

Another choice for backups to those not in the book, the character cards that folks over in the Disigners section have done.
