I am travelling with a baby and a toddler and am trying to figure out which attraction/show to use a FP+ on at DHS. Ideally I would pick Fantasmic and the Great Movie Ride... For the third option I was thinking maybe Disney Junior.. Any thoughts? I've never been so I'm not sure if there is normally a wait. Is there a special seating section for FP+?

Not sure if Disney JR has FP+.

But, are you sure that you want to take a baby and a toddler to GMR and Fantasmic? Both of those have elements that can be very scary for little kids.

Disney Jr does have FP+. You are right.. I am concerned about the GMR. I took DD2 when she was a baby and she was oblivious.. Now that she is a toddler I am unsure. We might leave her with my DM! DD2 has seen videos of Fantasmic and she gets very excited. I think we will try it and leave if she is overwhelmed.

Toy Storia Mania. The lines are horribly long for it and your toddler will love it. They will like Disney Jr, but I doubt very seriously you will need a FP for it. If you do Fantasmic, it would be best to FP it because the wait for it can be crazy, but I will say that when DD was 2, she was absolutely terrified by it. I had watched it on youtube and thought she would be okay, but I had forgotten how loud it was when you were sitting there, and how intense the villian portion can be if you are sitting closer to the front and a toddler.

The one good thing about the Disney Jr. fast pass is you get to sit right in the front in a specially marked section. So that's kind of cool. If you have an extra FP left, might be worth doing!

Thank you for the quick responses! Would TSM be too "jerky" for a baby (10 months)? A spot up front for Disney Jr might be worth it if we have an extra FP+ choice then... So many things to think about! Toddlers are so unpredictable... I will see how she reacts to other attractions first, building our way from non-scary IASW to HM. We will not push her. We will be going back to Disney again and again, so we don't mind missing out :)

See the link in my signature for my generalized suggestions for FP+ usage.

Yeah, TSMM is a little bit jerky.

Whether or not you use the FP for it, she will love the Disney Jr. show, it's really cute :)

I would think sitting in the front at Disney Junior would be the worst place to sit. Especially for a toddler.

I agree. I think sitting towards the back on one of the sides is much better than the front. If you sit too close and are short, you can't see the puppets well.

I have never been to Disney Jr. where I was turned away from the next available show. I would not use a FP+ on that. The only show at DHS (aside from F!) that is worth a FP+ is VotLM. I have not made the cut for the next available show for that one on more than one occasion.

We were sitting right behind the FP area. The benefits were that it seemed less crowded and you have a bit of breathing room from the space between you and the front of the stage. And they let them in first, so you get a few minutes to get settled before the crowds. I guess the puppets were a tiny bit obstructed, but seeing them up close was also cool.

But yeah, I would use it for VotLM over Disney Jr. That one can be a tough one to catch with the timing.
