As I have been over preparing for our DL trip as my DH says.:confused3 In the Unofficial Guide to DL it suggests getting a journal for each child. When you return to the hotel at night each child can spend a few minutes writing about the days events. I had never thought about it, but was thrilled they mentioned it. I went to Honks (a $1.00 store) and found the cutest Disney journals. I bought my DD one with all of the princess on it. My DS one with Mickey and Minnie on it. I may even go back and by one for DH, & my self. Just thought I would share.

Target has a nice $1.00 and $2.50 spot. Quite often, one may find Disney merchandise located there, from socks to pens and pencils, writing pads, journals, folders, stickers, ice packs, sandwich containers, make up, etc.

My mom used to make my brothers and I keep travel journals when we were younger. Hated it then, but they're fun to look at now that I'm older.

I made my kids journals when we went to WDW. They kept them in the car to write on during our trips to and from the hotel. Unfortunately, the kids really weren't interested in doing it after the first day. My oldest made a list of what we did each day but that's about it. The other two doodled and wrote a few small things, but nothing great. Great idea though. (BTW, my kids were 7, 9 & 11 at the time).
