Disney Jo Jo Costume - Hat Sizes

What is up with the hat sizes on the Jo-Jo Costume?

I picked my daughter up a XXS costume yesterday. It says its for 2-3 years old and 26-33 #. The costume is big, my daughter is little in weight at around 23#.

My daughter also has a little head. At her 2 year appt. he head was 18.5 inches. My almost 4 year old has a 19.5 inch head. The Jo-Jo hat doesn't fit at all!

So I went to the Disney website and the hat sizes are silly to say the least.

XXS 2-3 years - 14 inches
XS 3-4 years - 15 inches
S 4-6 years - 16 inches

Umm hello where did they get these head sizes! Anyone else have this happen and what can I do?

yeah we have the same issue. Unfortunetly my daughter has a huge head and even the biggest size doenst fit her..so the xs is way too small

my mil cut the lining and the elastic and is going to add a piece....she said she might just add a whole new lining ( the lining isnt stretchy to that what makes the hat so small

Yeah thats the craziness of their sizes. My daughter with a small head had a head 2.5 inches too big for their largest size that is supposed to fit a 4-6 year old.

The hat sizes are really infant sizes, not toddlers. Its so weird they don't even make infant jo-jo costume!

We are going to cut out our hat too. I can't sew so this should be interesting!
