Disney Jam Stand

I got my daughter one of these for christmas. After 4 of these we have 1 that works (we hope). Has anyone else had problems with these? I know Target has these on clearance, but is the quality that bad? The one that works is really cute and the Mix Stick works well. DD loves it.

I had purchased two for my DS and neither worked. I returned both of them to Target yesterday.

I bought one for Chistmas too. At first I thought it didn't work, but I kept playing around with it and it turns out it does work...it's just tempermental. The instructions are not that great either. For us, you ALWAYS have to readjust (turn up) the volume on the mix stick all the way before sound will come out on the jam stand. It's a cool device, but not very user friendly, especially for a child.

I too have had difficulty with the Jam Stands. The first one didn't work, so I returned it to Target. When I returned it, I found that store was sold out but Target Guest Services located a few others at other stores. I bought another last night only to find it did not work as well. Today my husband has the task of trying for another (my thanks to a poster who said they finally found one that works!)

I'm really disappointed that they are not reliable -- my daughter really liked her Mix Stick and I think the Jam Stand is a really cool accessory. Here's hoping for a working one to come home today!

Also BTW -- I'm new here so my apologies if this doesn't work right! (I found the disboards about a month ago and it is by far my favorite site! DIS is wonderful!)

Remember the Jam stand also charges so you should have Mix stick turned off and Jam stand unplugged .Insert Mix and plug in turn on Mix and you should be OK also if that doesn't work just slowly raise and lower Mix alittle and it should be OK.

I think Target stopped selling do to the entire line being unstable . DD has used hers without a problem but I loaded it and went through everything weeks before giving it to her.I DWLDed onto a 1 GB SSD card so when she opened it it was good to go.

I believe Limited Too had them, at least before Christmas. I checked at our local Ltd Too the day after Christmas and they were sold out. What worked for me was to go to my local Target and have Guest Services check the inventory at local Target stores (they can do a printout with other stores' locations and phone numbers in addition to their inventories). Disneyshopping has the mix sticks (on backorder). As far as the Jam stand goes, I don't recommend them. I would just hook up the mix stick to other speakers or use headphones. After 4 Jamstands I'm not even sure the last one will work. Disney has a problem with these in my opinion.

DD loves her mix stix that she got for christmas. She also got the Jam Stand but we have not tried it yet. I get we better check it out. Keeping my fingers crossed that it works.

We opened it up tonight and it worked the first time. No problems at all. We controled the volume mostly ont he Mix Stick. The colors on the Jam Stand were too cute. DD LOVES it.

Ours is a bit tempermental as well, but, with a little fiddling and patience, we finally got it to work. I think we'll keep it as it is pretty cute, although I would not run out and buy one after our experience. Good luck!

My sister found some at the Target by her & I asked her to buy 2 for me, then I'd pay her back...maybe I shouldn't have bothered?! They were on clearance for around $33.00 each.

Thanks so much for the info on these. I have been watching them at target since they went on clearance. Im hoping theyll go down some more before I get one.

my son - 8 and daughter-10 each got a mix stick and the jam stand at Christmas and everything seems to be working fine. Guess we lucked out!
