The watch shop near ToT and Italy in Epcot would be my other two recommendations...I didn't try gearworks...is that MouseGears or something different? But all mine came from WoD and then my watch for it came from Italy.
I tried looking for one of the sterling silver with 14k gold Mickey's head on the charm. I had two of the cheaper ones($3.00-7.00...I think) and the gold discolored within a month and the enamel on one of my other charms also wore off.
The only place I could find the 14k gold ones were in a jewelry shop on Main Street(sorry I can't remember the name). The charms were 25.00 each and they still look like new (9 months later). I love the Mickey Head with crystal in his ears They remind me of WDW many times a day!!!!
Oh-yeah--the CM told me to save my receipt and if I had any problems with them I could bring them back to exchange them anytime.......I was kinda wishing they would discolor so I could go back to WDW sooner
Thank you all for the great response.
My husband & I are going to pick one out for me for Valentine's Day & then that will be a great thing for him to add to for me for special occasions.
Leaving Saturday.............wooooooooooo hoooooooooooo
Have a great trip.I got a charm bracelet last year, and wearing it brings back all of our magical memories.
Have a great time in the FL

Although I've purchased the charm links from Disney, I've also gotten some great deals on "authenic" links on eBay, from $1 and up. I can't tell any difference in wear or quality from the more expensively priced links.
i love my italian charm bracelet. i started it in disney. (bought the actual starter bracelet off ebay and then bought my first charm in disney.) i saw charms everywhere. there were the cheaper charms at the hotel (akl). also i remember seeing some of the more expensive ones in italy at epcot. Im not sure the name of the store, but they also sold perfume, handbags and italian jewelry. besides italian charm bracelets i also saw tons of cute charms for regular charm bracelets all. both types were very easy to find.
I have seen the stainless/18k charms at the gift shop at the Contemporary, the jeweler in the MK, a shop in MGM, it's on the left side of the main street, if you're looking towards the hat, Mousegears at Epcot and the World of Disney in DTD.
I started one with the collection charms. I've been getting them on ebay and some other online sites. (You can save quite a bit!) I love them! Just got an Alice charm that is really cute.
I wish they had a Mary Poppins charm. Has anyone ever seen one?
Mousegear definately had a great selection. I got the red, white and blue Mickey icon there. DH also got me a Tink charm. I can't wait for our May trip so I can add to it. I will definately check out the store in Italy (the only one I didn't check last time).
I also have one and have it almost filled.. Got some great deals from someone on Ebay (she has lots more still) and then she just got back from a jewelry show and picked up several more for me that I wanted and is selling them at a great discount off Ebay. Now to just figure out to dh my spending spree
