We recently bought a house and the main bathroom will be used by guests and it is the primary bathroom for my youngest son. I'd like to make it fun for my son (6), while not being too kiddish for the guests who use it.
My son requested a world map shower curtain and I thought it would be fun to hang some framed Disney pictures we've taken from the World Showcase and Animal Kingdom. On one wall I'm putting two of inside China's pavillion and on another wall so far I've got a picture of the "flags" hanging in AK (I'm not sure what they're called - possibly prayer flags?). I'm searching for a couple more from WS that I like from my stash.
The problem is the other accessories. I need a soap pump, toothbrush holder, etc. I have a rug/bathmat. It's mainly blue with a white, then bright green border. The walls are painted a pale yellow. Handtowels are bright green, blue, and white. I really like how it's shaping up, but I can't find any accessories that I like. I want something "globe-ish or world-ish". Anyone see anything that fits the bill? Or do you have any ideas of things that would work. I'll take pictures later and post them if anyone would like to see.
There's a big vanity and huge mirror in there right now with a itty bitty ugly light fixture. I want to change out those, but that's not going to happen right away. I would change the fixture right away, but want to wait until I get a new vanity and mirror (I want to restore an old wash basin cabinet of my mom's and put in a vessel sink).
