I read your post prior to it being erased but was too busy to reply. I just want to say that I am very sorry about your experience during your time working for Disney. I am a much older member compared to the others on this board so I have had alot of work experience. I have had some of the feelings that you have in the past. Some were justified while others turned out to be me. What I mean is that when I look at things in hindsite, I realized that maybe my immaturity and lack of experience convinced me that I was being mistreated or whatever. The work world can seem cruel sometimes. Being a management major, I have realized that profit and commitment are key. If they have any doubt, they can not afford to risk anything. You may be a great employee who does everything necessary but doesn't give the extra needed to be a star employee. As far as the gay managers and promotions, I am not gay but am not blind either. I don't claim to know how it feels to be gay or why they are but, in my experience, people do not give them a chance before allowing their personal beliefs to get in the way. Most of the gay individuals that I have had the pleasure of knowing are proud, hardworking, and especially have the imagination, spirit, and energy that Disney needs to be successful. I hope that you will heal your wounds after you leave and eventually feel better. I am so sorry you had such a terrible experience but maybe when you learn a little more about what it takes to run a business as important as Disney, you will begin to see more clearly and not so personally.
