Guest services just called and said that they can not honor a reservation we made at Le Cellier for next week. The reservation was made 6 -months ago ( 180 days + 10 since we are on the deluxe dining plan). This is an extended family trip and Le Cellier was our very first choice in restaurants and this is the only time we are eating there.

They aren't telling us why they can't honor it, just that its not possible. They are suggesting we change to a late lunch which they can't guarantee they can can do either.

So needless to say, we are all up in arms and are not sure what to so.

Anyone have any experience with this or have any advice?

It's strange that they suggested you do a late lunch instead, but then say they don't know if they can accommodate you. Did you look online for a late lunch? How many people is it for?
Was there nothing that they were willing to do for you?

It's a reservation for 8 people. I thought it was odd that they offered something they could not guarantee as well. I and my father-in-law have been trying to call back (they spoke to my wife earlier) to get more information but we keep getting a recording that they can not accept any more calls due to high call volume.

In the meantime, why don't you check online for an ADR for eight people at another time that day. Maybe something will pop up.

If a reservation for eight doesn't show up, maybe try doing two parties of four?

One more suggestion...if Le Cellier doesn't end up working out for you, and you want a steak restaurant, both The Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club, and Shula's at the Dolphin are walking distance, or a boat ride away from Epcot. My favorite in the Boardwalk area is the Flying Fish.

They just called us back and said that they fixed it. Glad this is the way it turned out but still a bit miffed that it happened. Oh well, thanks for the advice, Patty!

I had that happen for my Kona Cafe ADR a couple months ago. In that case, I'm thinking the ongoing construction at the Poly was to blame. It could be with Le Ceiller they straight-out overbooked, or they are now having some sort of private event, or something else. Whatever it is, glad it worked out for you in the end.:)
