Disney is amazing!

My Dad is 78 and his new favorite ride is EE. He did Tower of Terror-loves that-and we do Splash and BTMRR every visit. Next trip he wants to ride RnRR, I'm a little nervous because he's never done a looping coaster. Of course, he's in very good health and exercises daily and I doubt I'll be able to keep him off. I"ll just pray the whole ride like I did on EE. ;)

My dad is 62. He was 60 on our last trip and rode Mission: Space (but swore never again!) and ToT and RnRC. We are headed back on 12/23 and he has said he may try the M:S Green Team.

I agree with letting your dad decide what he wants to ride or not. If he is adventurous, there is not a ride that he "can't" ride!

Have a fabulous time! On our trip this year we will have 16 people ranging in age from 2-85 (but the 85 y.o. grandparents won't be going in the parks this time) There truly is something for everyone!!!

62 is not old! There are no rides that he can't ride "because of his age"! There may be other reasons he doesn't want to ride, but age isn't one of them!

62 is just a kid! My 72-year old coworker (she's a nursing assistant and works circles around the young ones) went last year and rode EVERYTHING! She loved TOT and RnR! Splash, Space, she did em all. She is really looking forward to trying EE some day. On the other hand, my 59-year-old DH won't go on anything..."my riding days are over". It's all in the attitude.

not to be  corny but I think we should refer to the old saying "age is just a number" here. I really think it has more to do with the physical/medical aspect. A perfectly healthy 88 yo person would probably do just fine on most anything, when a 55 yo man with a history of heart problems should avoid alot of things.

That's what I was going to say! :thumbsup2

DJ Disney Kid - I just realized you listed Twilight Zone. Let me give you a big piece of advice. If your father doesn't want to do the drop, he can bail but see most of the attraction. That's what I do now. He can go with you to the library and through the boiler room. When you get to the seater person, tell them your father isn't going to ride. He'll be escorted to the Express Elevator and you will meet him right after you get off the elevator. Instead of him sitting outside waiting for you, he'll only have to wait 5-10 minutes.
