We remember the Disney Institute from about 6 years ago. It was a program for children to go behind the scenes and learn animation, etc. Now, I can't find anything on it. Anybody know if it still exists and how to sign up? We were really hoping to take advantage of it when we go in September! ::MickeyMo

Sorry, the Disney Institute closed a couple or so years ago.

You may want to take the animation tour at MGM. That may be the closest you get now, and it is included with your park pass.
(What was DI is now Saratoga Springs resort.)

That's a bummer! :sad2: My 8 year old daughter was soooo looking forward to it. She is an aspiring artist! Does the tour at MGM allow any hands-on? ::MickeyMo

There still is a Disney Institute. It's not the resort of the past.

I am notsure of what it all entails, but CMs from the Disney Institute give many of the behind the scenes tours.

It will be one of the CMs from the DI that gives the special behind the scenes tour that during the DIS meet that Webmaster is setting up for June of this year.

The old Disney Institute has now become Saratoga Springs. The theater and other class rooms are now part of the resort. My wife took a couple of classes at the old Disney Institute and loved them

Seems like the institute was discontinued in the travel slump that followed 9/11. :sad1:
