Disney in Nov and the Grand Californian

Hi everyone...we are headed to DL in November, and it's the first time we've been there during this time of year! We always go in the summer, just for school and work schedules, etc. This year we are taking the kids out of school for a couple of days before Thanksgiving vacation to experience it during this time. We're going Nov 19-23. I'm expecting high crowds, just because it's mostly a weekend and it's the weekend before Thanksgiving week. We've dealt with crowds before, during the summer time, but am curious if it's about the same or even more so? Just trying to plan our days! We're experienced Fast Pass users so we're good there!
Also, are the Christmas decorations up be then? I've heard they are, so that's what we are hoping for!
This is the first time we are staying at the Grand Californian as well, so any great tips or info on this hotel is appreciated also!

We'll be there from Nov 18 - 23rd too! I'm hoping it won't be as crowded as summer crowds. Our first day in the parks is Thursday and that day should be low (at least that I what I am hoping). I think Saturday is an AP block-out day, so that could make Friday and Sunday a little more busy.

The holiday decorations will be up by Nov. 13th!! This is our first time seeing them and we are really excited!!

The GCH is a beautiful hotel. Craftsman decor with a touch of Mickey! The lobby is a great place to hang out and chill, esp. by the fireplace! They also have a kids workshop area where you can leave your kids and go have dinner or even some time alone. Plus, there is a "secret" entrance to DCA (well not really secret because anyone can use it, not just hotel guests, but it's usually not as crowded as the front gate)

Maybe we'll see you in the parks! I'm going to today to Home Depot to get my LGMH to hang on my Baggallini!
