I am Going To disneyworld jan8-13 i was wondering how the crowds are? thanks Dis sjw CANT WAIT!!!! :cool1:

We have never been at that time but from what I hear it will be quite slow. One of the slowest times.

It should be very quiet then. Remember January in Disney can get quite chilly, so plan and pack accordingly.

January is a great time to go to WDW. Very low crowds. Pack a little bit of everything because it's anything goes as far as the weather...it could be 45, it could be 75. :)

You'll be there for the marathon...I'm sure that increases crowds but you'll hardly notice it.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you'll be there during the marathon (I think it's the 9th). So you may encounter larger crowds that weekend, but after they leave, you should be walking on to most rides. We were there last Jan. and it was a bit chilly (for Florida, it was quite toasty compared to our weather here in NE Ohio) and a bit rainy, but when you balance that with practically empty parks, you'll be glad you chose January. Have fun!!! --H

We were there last Jan. and I have pics of us in bathing suits at Blizzard Beach one day, and winter coats on by the end of the week. Plan to take a little of everything. No matter what the weather during the day, it will get chilly at night, so sweatshirts, long pants, maybe jackets. It means more packing, but the trade off for going in Jan is lighter crowds (shh, don't tell anyone though). This has this months weather forecast www.weather.com/weather/monthlyUSFL0372?month=1 , looks like it will be a good one. We're going the 5th - 11th

Crowds should be low. The weather may big the biggest thing to worry about.
Have a great trip!

DH and I go that week every year.. the first few days a little busy with marathoners, after Monday it will be very slow. Have a great trip!

We were there in Jan. a couple of years ago and it was quiet. You'll arrive there on my birthday. :D

Boy, the weather forecast is looking good! :Pinkbounc

My recommendation for the 8th and 9th (and probably the 10th too) is to be sure and get PS's if there are particular places you'd like to eat those days. Many of the marathoners will be there just for the weekend, or Fri-Mon and some won't even be doing the parks, BUT 24,000 eventers and their families will be eating somewhere!

We went the week after that last year (3rd week in Jan.). Crowds were light except on MLK day. Definitely bring layered clothes!
