Thinking about a trip in February 2015. I would appreciate anyone's knowledge of weather, crowds, etc. during this time of year.

You'd need to keep in mind school breaks and the weekend of the Princess Half Marathon (which will have an extra 30k or so people at WDW). But overall, it's not that bad of a time to go.

we were there the 9th-17th this year...or maybe the 18th? i don't even remember, haha.

it was significantly more crowded than the times when we went in december or january but i'm sure people who visit during summer or holidays would think it wasn't crowded. the weather was super mild and pleasant except for one day when it rained SOOOOOOO HARD. of course it was the day we had a dinner reservation at Be Our Guest so we had to brave the downpour.

we are going around the same time this year even though i'd love to avoid president's day because my kid's birthday is the 13th so what can ya do.

When in Feb. are you thinking of going? We went in Feb. for the first time this year, the 8th-18th with the 17th being Presidents Day. Stayed at POFQ. The weather for the most part was a bit chilly, high 60's during the day, got to low 70's the last couple days. At night it would go down to the
40's, even high 30's. However you'll see from other peoples' experiences that Feb. weather is quite variable.

We didn't think the crowds were that bad, and our previous trips were mostly Oct/Nov. They got heavier on Sat. before Presidents day and increased through Tues. but weren't crazy. I know some people will say to stay away from that holiday weekend but we found it fine; although we did have a week of lower crowds first so that may have helped us not be bothered when crowds did increase.
One other thing you may want to check is when Mardi-Gras falls. In 2013 it coincided with Valentines/Pres. Day week and apparently crowds were crazy:crowded:

As others have said the week of PHM and Presidents day (most new england schools get that whole week off.) will be crowded. But other than that, it's generally nice both crowds-wise, and weather-wise.

We go the week of the PHM every year in February. Crowd calendars I looked at online gave the ratings of 3-5 every day and it felt like it - not very crowded to me. Yes, the runners increase the crowd from what it would be otherwise, but all in all, crowds were manageable. By being there at RD every morning and utilizing FP+ wisely, I never waited more than ten minutes in a line.

Weather is also lovely in February.

I read the only time of Feb to avoid is President's Day weekend.

I've been at that time. Weather is great but can be unpredictable. The mornings and evenings are cool (50's) and daytime can warm to the 80's. Be prepared though. It's not uncommon to have some cold weather like lows in the 30's! You just never know. I layer my clothing sometimes to account for the temperature differences. Crowds are good except during president's week. In 2015, pres. Week and Mardi Gras fall on the same week. Crowds are expected to be a little higher. I've gone the first week if Feb. And the longest wait I had was about 20 mins. Some rides we could walk right on! It's one of my favorite times to go!! Enjoy!!

We've been twice in February.... one trip it was good, the 2nd trip, horrible... ..regardless of anything in February with crowds, DO NOT go Presidents Day/Mardi Gras week.... This happened to us... I think the entire state of Louisiana was at WDW that week. Our best trip... January.

My wife and I are heading there for Presidents week. I wish we could go another week, but as a teacher, I go when school is out, and we're off that week. I anticipate higher crowds, but I don't think it'll be as crazy as the holidays. I'm not concerned about the race; we went in November last year, the weekend of the Food & Wine 1/2 marathon, and other than Saturday in Epcot (the last Saturday of the Food & Wine festival), crowds were not a problem at all.

We've gone in February twice.

Definitely avoid President's Day week/weekend.

We went in late February one year and it was awesome. Mild weather, light "crowds."

We went again in early February. Light crowds, more rain, and considerably cooler.

For that reason, if we ever go in February again, I'd choose late February.

(I'm considering a 2016 BIG trip, and I'm torn about pulling kids out of school...)

If you're planning on staying onsite - the beginning of the month (1st through 11th) are a much lower "Value" rate season than the rest of the month. President's Day and the week following are some of the highest rates of the year outside of Christmas.

Feb 22nd to the end of the month is considered "regular" season and higher than the beginning of the month.

Weather can vary greatly in February. The later you go in the month the better chance you have for good weather but there are no guarantees. Everybody can post a different experience on the weather and truthfully nobody knows what will really happen in 2015. We've gone 7 times in January/February since 2006 and have had great weather (80's and swimming) 3 times, OK Weather (high 60's/low 70's) twice, and cold weather (40's/50's) twice. We've had a rainy day or two on trips but never constant rain on any of these trips.
