Hi Beth

Its a lovely time to go to WDW in December.

We have been a few times and love it.

The weather can be very unpredictable though, we have had really nice and warm weather to where its been freezing cold.

The beginning of Dec is very quiet for crowds, however the week leading upto Chirstmas and after are very very busy.

There is Mickey Very Merry Christmas Party which is lovely.

Good Luck deciding.

We've booked for next December and are so looking forward to the holiday atmosphere and MVMCP :)

We go the 15th until the 29th, so hopefully we should get a few quieter days before the crowds start building.

Hey Bath,

Look at my countdown! Look at my countdown!!

Or, as a sane person might say, we will be travelling out on Dec 9th and back on Jan 1st. MVMCP is booked for 14th December, with a special chacacter Christmas dinner at LTT on the same night. All the parks will be beautifully decorated, and I just can't wait to see the Osbourne lights at MGM, Candlelight Processional at Epcot etc.

I would love to hear all about All Star Movies from your recent trip :)

Karen

LOL!!
We are in the middle of deciding wether to go this Xmas I am having serious Disney Blues!! hehe but we want to mix the holiday up maybe staying at Orlando, then onto either Bahamas or New York! we arent sure.

The All Star Movies was wonderful and has really put me off staying in any other hotel, Disney hotels are definately worth there pennies, I took plenty pics but with us being at M.I.L'S I have no scanner to put them on here....but once we move I will show you the pics, we had a room on the toy story side, which in my eyes is the best, chelsea loved it, waking up each morning and seeing woody at the side of the room, and buzz facing us :) the refillable mugs are wonderful (we got these via vouchers as we booked with virgin) also free movie tickets with these we watched spiderman2 :) the pool is great massive and with a shooting mickey mouse sprinkler (you will know what I mean when you get there), the pool shuts around 12 but the lifeguards leave around 11pm, I noticed though people was still in the pool after 12 and was very noisy so beware if you are near the pools although you cant hear much when you are in the room.
The room is disney themed, they are quite small but very cosy, with t.v, iron and ironing board, no hairdryer, no coffee maker, no fridge (so if you need any of these there is an extra charge).
Inside the reception there is a T.v and seating to watch the first ever mickey films etc, the shop inside is great too, it has mainly everything you see around the parks we spent a fortune in here :) lol, the restaurants are handy also, with anything and everything you want from pizza's, to burgers, to pasta, ice cream, sandwichs, milk, etc, also the free refillable mugs cover you for any soda drinks, and tea/coffee and hot chocolate (tip: I only realised this later on but there is cups of which you can fill with hot choclate/tea etc at the end of the tills instead of filling your mug).
The food is good especially the pizza's so have at least one :)

We walked to the other hotels (All star sports/and music) they seemed alot more quieter than the movies but it was nice to see the different styles.

There is also a pool at the movies further down near the mighty ducks this is alot smaller, and not has busy, ideal if you want alittle peace and quiet.

The staff are friendly, and are raring to go if you need anything.
The games room is ideal for the kids, and definately get a character picture done of yourselves (we have one of me and mart and one of chelsea has a mermaid) hehe...they are sat at the entrance of the restaurant area.

The laundry rooms are near the fantastia buildings, nighttimes is busy here as I found out LOL, people was queing and budging for the washers a little of a nightmare...

You will have a wonderful time, also you are not allowed to go into your room when checking in till 3pm....we was at the hotel at 11am as we left the QII we had to wait till after 3pm till we was handed our room even then she was trying to put us into Mighty Ducks but I had requested Toy Story with Virgin.

I will scan the pictures when I can and send them to you :)
But all I can say is we had a fantastic time, and would go back tommorow if we could it was a lovely hotel.

Beth

P,s the pic below in the background is the games room at the all star movies LOL :)

Another December vote here.

I'm off again 4th to 14th December after my cruise.

The weather is up and down which does make it harder to pack - I end up wearing fleeces, 3/4 lengths, jeans, t-shirts and hoodies very rarely can I wear shorts because of wind chill factor more than anything - I really feel the cold.

The crowds are lighter just after Thanksgiving but it does get busier a few days before Xmas Day when the crowds are manic - we didn't even bother going to a park on Xmas or Boxing Day - we just enjoyed the resorts.

Hi Beth,

Thanks so much for the review. The Movies sound fab. Thank you for the tips! I would love to see your photos when you've got yourself sorted in the house department :) I am very keen to stay in Toy Story and I'm hoping because it's quite a quiet time when we check in, and because we are staying for 2 weeks, we might be lucky! My eldest DD for some strange reason wants to stay in the Love Bug section?!? Not that she's ever seen the film! I will try and persuade her that Toy Story is best :) but to be honest we will be happy wherever we end up.

Love the photo of Chelsea - my DD's have got that dress and love "being" Minnie Mouse.

Thanks,

Karen

PS Just realised I addressed you as Bath not Beth in my above post - sorry! Typo!

Hi Karen,

Love bug is not badly positioned but we have never seen the film also, toy story is really the only section I knew she would thoroughly enjoy.
Mighty Ducks section is further away from the reception and food courts we was told if we was to stay here it would be easier to cross the path and go into the music food courts etc....which didnt make me smile, so we urged for toy story (we was lucky as there wasnt many rooms left), it's upto you just stress what you would like as soon as you go in, although if you arent too bothered, it's not too bad :)

Chelsea love's her minnie mouse dress also, we have spent a fortune this holiday buying all the accessories like (sun glasses, handbag, hat, socks and shoes) LOL!!! it's all worth it though.

I an't wait to put my pix up we got great snaps of in the room, the beds, bathroom etc, and the massive figures around the hotel...and the food court etc LOL we made sure we got every angle...can't wait to get moved out of mother in laws! gr!

LOL that's ok about the name thing, I have been called far worse (off Mother In Law)!!

I just hope you have a wonderful time of which you will...:Pinkbounc :bounce: Can we fit in your suitcase? hehe...
