We are planning to go to Disney December 7-10. Are there deals during that time of the year? Florida resident ticket deals? When should we try to get a hotel through Priceline?

TIA

I can't answer any of those questions, but I wanted to say, if you do go, take the monorail to visit the Grand Floridian, they had a life-sized gingerbread house there at Christmastime a few years back. It was really cool.

I would start looking for lodging and airline tickets now. I have an AP, but I use to buy my WDW tickets from AAA. There is an AUTO SOUTH AAA office north of the Orlando airport.

By all means, a nice evening activity is to ride the monorail resort line and visit the gingerbread displays at the Contemporary and the Grand Floridian resorts. There are also gingerbread displays at the Epcot and the Epcot resorts - Beach Club, Boardwalk, Yacht Club. You can take a nice leisurely stroll around the resort lagoon or ride the boats across.

Lots of the Disney Christmas merchandise is 50% off starting in mid December.

We found MVMCP to be a good idea. The rides weren't crowded and in some cases we got off and right back on again. The parade was wonderful. We got thru most of the MK which was great as the crowds the next day were horrendous. If you do go to the event definately get a ressie for a place to eat as a lot of cs places were closed. The different Christmas storytellers in Epcot were very enjoyable. We snacked along the way listening to each one. That time of year is a perfect time to go. Enjoy.

No ticket deals. The only time they offer those are in the spring and rumor has it they are discontinuing them as well.
