Disney in December for a party of 9, please.

Hey everyone!

I'm new to the DISboards and so this will be my first trip report. So stick with me. I'm learning.

So we don't have any plans set in stone yet. I've been saving up for a few years now in order to be able to take my whole family to Disney World. I've finally saved enough to pay for everything so I am in the processes of trying to find a DVC member with enough points that I can rent from.

I would like to stay in a Grand Villa at AKV. But let me tell you a small amount about my family.

I am going with my mother and step father and my two much much younger half siblings (ages 7 and 4). My little brother (age 20), my big sister and her husband, and then last but not least my fiancé. My mother is the only one who has ever been to Disney.

I am a twenty something disney fanatic. Seriously. Obsessed. I've only ever been to Disneyland and so I am way too excited for this trip. I've been living and breathing it for the past three years. So excited to finally start setting it in stone. I'm most excited to make this trip super magical for the kids ... i don't want to share too much personal info on here so I'll call them by their pet names... The kid and the lamb.

The kid loves super heroes, phineas and pherb, Star Wars, and LOVES Dino's and fossils.

The lamb loves tangled, dr. McStuffins, Minnie Mouse, everything pink and yellow and ballet.

Oh, I forgot!


So I decided to make the trip for December because of lower crowds and since it will be cool. The lamb gets hot very easily. And I mean dangerously hot. Her body is really bad at regulating her temperature. Since we live in the Midwest we have a pretty high tolerance for cold/freezing temps. So a Florida "winter" should be no problem for us.

The Disney store near us just closed for remodeling and everything was 40% off. Lets just say I spent WAY too much money on goodies for the kid and the lamb. I'm trying to get pictures of all the stuff I got. But I am being a tad lazy.

I got a duffel bag, two pairs of pajamas, a crown, and a doll for the lamb. Then I got a pajama set and a perry shirt for the kid. I also found these cool night lights at JoAnns for $2.50 but had a surplus of coupons and got them half off. I will attempt to get pictures on here in the morning.
