Hi,
We were thinking about going to WDW this August, but are a bit unsure of the crowds and the heat. We went in June last time and didn't have any problems with either. Any thoughts???

Due to work restrictions, my family always goes to WDW in August. Yes, it's hot and crowded, but the hours of operation are extended, and COP will probably be open. We always do everything that we want to and have a great time. If it gets too hot or too crowded, you can always go swimming!

We have gone and are going again the later part of August. Crowds are not an issue then. We spend a lot of afternoons in a pool or water park.

It is hot but... lots of things that you can do to "beat the heat'.

Bring/drink lots of water..arrive early, leave when you get hot and tired and go cool off in the pool, then return later in the day and in the coll of the evening...

I usually go in the colder months but will go in august this year because my oldest has started school. I've asked this question awhile back and people say it is hot - very hot - but you have to find ways to beat the heat, take breaks, etc. The later in august you go supposedly the less crowds but perhaps shorter hours too. We're going the 3rd week in august so I'm hoping for lighter crowds but still (historically looking at the hours for other years) long enough hours to go back to the MK after dinner.

Enjoy!
