Hi

I am just in the beginning stages of planning my wedding. Although I am not having it at WDW I do want to incorporate a disney theme. Would be interested in seeing what others have picked for Mickey/Minnie or Cinderella wedding invitations or what disney touches you had in your wedding. I have come up with some ideas such as arranging the place settings at the reception to form mickey from the dinner, bread and cake plates (like the haunted mansion table). Anyway I would appreciate hearing any ideas or where I can find places to order items online or local stores.

Thanks!

Hi Crista,

Congratulations on your up and coming wedding and happy planning!

We had a vow renewal last year and thought you might be interested in some of the Disney ideas I did.

As there were only 11 of us I made my own invitations and bought rubber disney stamps and stamped disney characters inside in gold.

The programme/order of service was called 'When you wish upon a star'

We all had disney names, I was Tinker Bell and my husband was Peter Pan so on the place cards for the table at the reception I put everyone's disney name and had some little flashing Mickey magnets attached and they were flashing when we walked in.

I bought some Mickey mouse ears - plain ones - and did some sort of decoration on them for each character - easy if there are only 11 of us - if you are having a large wedding could be difficult!

Hope this helps a little bit, if I remember anything else I will let you know.

Rosemary, I love your ideas, can I ask where you had your dinner?

We did our Vow Renewal on board the Disney Wonder Cruise ship and had our dinner in Palo's.

I'll try post most of the disney that I incorporated into my boston wedding. We were going to get married at WDW, but most of my family would not have been able to make it...instead we are working on renewing our vows at wdw in a few years.
I did do Cinderella invites, etc.
My cake topper was cinderella and the prince dancing from disney classics collection.
Instead of table numbers, they were disney movie names...head table was of course cinderella. We actually incoportated some of the names into some of the people at the table. AUnt huge snow white fan, so we named her table that. Family friend tha is a huge joker, so I put him at the tarzan table and picked up a leopard print pair of male undies at frederics of hollywood and slide it on his chair during the reception...the pictures of his face once he opened the gift bag are pricesless!!
We did cinderella skating rinks/music boxes for centerpieces..;instead of flowers.
We also had a trivia game for the centerpiece, so that a true disney fan would get it (and appreciate it). We put paper and enough pens on all the tables. I enlisted the help of my bridal party for this, each got 1 or 2 tables to watch. The 1st person to correctly list the 7 dwarfs, won the centerpiece.
We, also, had an accapella group sing..and our dj told them it was a disney themed wedding, so they wore mickey vests..it was a great surprise from my dj to me :0)
We had a pooh bear ice sculpture (my fav..a gift from my dad to me).
Cinderella wine gobblets & cake cutter.
If I think of more, I will add to the post.
