Is there any perks to booking a Disney owned hotel? Only did disney world once...and loved it. its time to venture to the other side.
We are starting research now. Thanks for your help.
Unlike WDW, staying on property at DL doesn't give you any perks. No early entry, special transportation or anything. You can actually stay offsite and be closer to the front gates than the Disneyland Hotel or the Paradise Pier. The Grand Californian is right in between the parks, and has its own entrance to California Adventure, so you can't get anything closer than that. This is also the most exspensive hotel so unless you've got a big budget, I'd suggest staying offsite. Others will disagree because they like to continue the Disney magic by staying onsite, but since I don't spend much time in the room, its not worth it to me. Now if they started offering extras by staying onsite, then I may reconsider.
