Disney Hotels

We are planning a trip to WDW April 30 - March 3. I would love to stay at one of the disney hotels, but it is not looking so feasible. I am not opposed to renting points, I just don't fully understand how that works. Any help or suggestions would be awesome. We have a big group, but can be separated. We have 4 adults and then 3 adults and 1 baby. We can all be in large villa together or separated into two rooms.

If you are plannnig for this year it might be hard to rent points. I believe the DVC section of the disboards have more indepth info on renting points. People have had great success and it can be cheaper than a disney hotel room.

You all might be able to fit into a 2 bedroom DVC villa. If you get a dedicated 2 bedroom it has a King in the master, 2 queens (maybe doubles) in the second bedroom and a pull out bed in the living room area. Some of the resorts, AKL and BLT (maybe OKW) have 3 bathrooms in the dedicated 2 bedrooms which would be great with the number of people you are talking about.

If you aren't able to get a DVC villa then at least 2 hotel rooms would be necessary.

We did it four our January trip. It wasn't hard, but I think you are a little late to get anything for those dates, unless you mean 2013. There is an indepth tutorial on the DVC section of the board and I followed all the steps and the process worked out great.
