hi we are thinking off going to dlp next summer there are five in the family 3 kids 13,11,7 and the hotels on the dlp website will only let us book 2 adults and 2 kids is there any hotel that will accomadate the five of us

some of the hotels have a few family rooms that sleep 5 but they are often more expensive and not included in any offers. Often it is cheaper to book 2 rooms in somewhere like Santa Fe

Other options are Davy Crocket ranch - but you need a car as there are no shuttle buses

Explorers have rooms which sleep 4 and then you can book an extra crew room which sleeps 2 and adds onto it giving you a room for 6

We managed to get a family room for 5 at DLH with the 40% offer that was available earlier this year.

We've also stayed at HNY with 2 rooms which was really good.

Ooh, this is so what I'm wishing for next year!! ;)

We're a family of 5 and have found that booking this and buying annual passes has always worked out the cheapest option for our dates. If you do decide to stay at one of the offsite hotels don't book them through Disney as they are very expensive that way ~ there's links to booking sites in The Very Useful Info sticky, just remember that you are going to be booking room only this way so have to allow for buying tickets or annual passes on top. :)

Our family room at the DLH was also in the 40%, not sure how many there are though so if they do come up think you might have to be fairly quick to book them.

Just done some fake booking on the dlp site for April :rolleyes1 and the family rooms at dlp do have 30% discount - hopefully this will now be the norm, and not the exception.

There are also family rooms that sleep 5 at Newport Bay. Other than that, it's two rooms on-site, or Davey Crockett Ranch (you'll need a car) or Explorers.
