Disney Hotels on Priceline or Hotwire?

Just trying to figure out whether I can somehow get a price low enough to justify an on-site stay. Right now we are booked at the Hyatt OC for a 2 bedroom suite (+ living room) for $179 a night so you can see how it is difficult to justify the $600/night I'd have to pay for 2 rooms at the DLH (and don't even get me started on how they refuse to guarantee connecting rooms!!).

I would surely pay something more for the convenience of staying onsite, but as much as I want to, I can't justify triple the price.

The Disney hotels aren't on priceline or hotwire. Betterbidding.com and biddingfortravel.com both list the hotel names that have been reported along with their star level and amenities.

I got a good rate on Expedia (195.00 per night). It was 205.00 per night, and then I searched for an Expedia coupon code (found one for 10.00 off per night of hotel)--and that is how I got it. First I checked the Disney.com website, and it said there were no more rooms left at the DL Hotel. This was because it was only 3 weeks till we arrived--so then I checked Expedia--and they had the rooms. Basically, when Disney doesn't sell those rooms by a certain date, they send the rooms to a clearing house like Expedia to move them out. This is how you can get a good rate by booking closer to travel. It is a risk, though--because it doesn't always happen. I got very lucky to get my room, because when I looked at Expedia a few days later there was no more rooms left at the DL Hotel.
