Hello all!!

My DF and I are honeymooning at WDW in August. We will be there for 4 days and plan on spending most of our time in the parks although we may spend some time laying around the pool. We want to eat at least one meal a day at nice sit down restaurants and plan on eating every meal at WDW. DF has a huge appetite so sharing is not an option. How much would you budget for meals?

Thank you so much in advance,

Jamie

Congrats on the wedding and Disneymoon!! :bride: :groom:

Expect to pay about $100/meal if you do nice sit downs, especially if you have a couple drinks. :drinking1 counter service is about $20 for two people. My FI and I are budgeting $150/day for meals and incidentals. check out AllEars for menus and pricing.

I'm a light eater, so if you are too, you may consider just ordering an appetizer and if you're still hungry, pick off his or order dessert. You ARE on your honeymoon afterall! ;)

Another tip...eat that nice sit-down at lunchtime or before 4 when they switch to dinner menus. The meals are often very similar, and they are way cheaper!

have fun! :earsboy:

We are HMing in Disney too! September 25th - October 1st. :teeth:

This is our per day budget.. of course, some days we will go over and others we will go under, but this is our general plan.

Breakfast: $20 per day
Lunch: $25 per day
Dinner: $125 per day

HAPPY HONEYMOONING!!

My husband and I honeymooned at WDW last December! Here's some advice about meals.

1. Visit this website: www.wdwig.com Click on Dinning and then click on Menus. This site has most of the updated menus from WDW, so you budget more efficiently. I did this and came out ahead by $20 which went to souvineers!

2. Eat dinner before 4pm: I know someone just posted this, but it's very important. This could potentially save you $16-or more off a meal! Some restaurants, like the 50's Prime Cafe have the same prices at lunch and dinner. Again, look at the menus to give yourself an idea of which restaurants will be to your advantage to eat at before 4pm.

I personally budgeted $100 per day for our honeymoon. This included one sit down meal, counter service food and snacks. I should mention that we only drank wine with one meal. We're not big drinkers. If you plan on drinking alcohol with every meal, add more money (above the $100). The prices for alcohol in WDW are high.

For example we ate at Le Cellier for about $100. This included appitizers, entries, dessert, and just ice tea. No alcohol.

Have a great time on your honeymoon! We had such a blast that we'll probably do a Vow Renewal there!
