So my fiancé and I are doing the Escape Package for our wedding and are staying at Disney for our honeymoon. We are getting married at Sea Breeze Point on the boardwalk ❤️ What is everyone's opinion of the Boardwalk hotel?! It looks beautiful and it is perfect location for us. Makes everything easy too! Thanks for the advice!

This is exactly my plan too! I haven't stayed at Boardwalk yet but I've been inside numerous times and it's beautiful and I remember how easy it was for my sister's wedding when they were staying at Yacht Club and got married at the Yacht Club Wedding Gazebo my sister could get dressed upstairs do first look photos in the lobby then simply walk outside and get married - easy peasy lol!

Awesome!!! Then it should be easy and not stressful at all!! I've never been in it though and I don't know anyone who has stayed there so I want to hear other peoples opinions on it before we decide.

Do you know how much of a discount we get off of our room? And my guests? :)

The Boardwalk was one of the hotels in our room block for my Escape wedding last month. The discounted rate, with tax was just over $300 per night. That rate will vary based on the time of year. The rooms included in the room block are standard rooms (our view was of the taxis). Some of our guests had better views of lovely gardens but none had Boardwalk views.

We had a wonderful stay in a Garden Suite at the BWI for our wedding at SBP. The location is perfect and we had plenty of space to get ready.

My guests can stay in other hotels & get a discount right? Most of them want to stay in different hotels.

You can set up room blocks at up to 4 hotels, we picked three, one in each category. In the end, there were 10 of us at the Boardwalk, 5 at Coronado Springs, and 5 at Pop Century. As it turned out, the 5 that stayed at Coronado Springs were people that aren't Disney people and hadn't been there since the 90's. I got the feeling they felt disconnected and I overheard a comment from one of them they wished we were all in the same hotel. The folks at Pop Century had been there before so knew what they were doing. The only way we would have been able to stay in one hotel is if I picked the one everyone could afford (Pop Century) or paid for everyone to stay at the Boardwalk, and that wasn't in the budget.

One thing to remember is that the more hotels people are in, the more you will need to spend on transportation, assuming you are providing transportation to your ceremony and possibly other events. We also dropped off Welcome Bags, it wasn't that big of a hassle to drop them at Pop and Coronado, but. If I had to go to more hotels, it would have eaten up more of my pre-wedding relaxation time. ;)

I totally get that. No one can afford to stay at the boardwalk and those who can, don't want to stay there, they're staying at AKL & the Polynesian. And I don't know about the others. I kind of don't want them all in my hotel because it is going to be out honeymoon and we want some alone time Lol. But we shall see how it all works out.

The Boardwalk is beautiful. We've stayed there several times but we are also DVC members. Another option you can look into if cost is an issue is to rent DVC points (there are several websites for it and on Carrie's blog, Disney Travel Babble she has a whole section explaining it)! Renting points is usually a cheaper way to go! Enjoy and good luck :)

I will definitely look into that! Thank you! :)
