Hi all!

I will be getting married this July and going on a Disneymoon in September (Darn FH's work schedule!!). I am looking into registering on the Disney Honeymoon Registry because we already have most everything that we need for our home.

I know that your guests buy the items on the registry, and then the money for them is sent to you. My question is, is it sent in the form of a Disney gift card, or what?

Also, we would like to do things like the Keys To The Kingdom tour and MNSSHP. These things aren't on the registry, but could we use the money towards these things instead of what we asked for on the registry?

Hope this isn't confusing...any help is much appreciated!!

I am going to move this over to the Weddings and Honeymoon board as the good folks there will be able to help :)

After you create your registry, you will be sent a gift card. As people "buy" you things on your registry the dollar amount will be added to your card. For this reason, make sure to copy down the card number and keep it in a safe place. When I did it, they sent me a paper with a space for the card number. You might be able to replace it without the number but I don't know if they keep track of the numbers anywhere.

Once the money is on the card, you can use it for anything you want in the parks at anywhere Disney gift cards are accepted. We pretty much used ours for our package components. Alternatively, if there's somewhere that doesn't accept Disney Gift Cards, but allows you to charge to your room, you can then pay off the balance with the card. I don't think there are many places that have this option.

Not to say the pp is wrong, but i think the registry has changed. We just used it a month ago. You register for things and link your bank account, then the money is transferred right int your bank account when you withdraw. You can choose the amount of gifts etc, so if you want to be able to do certain tours that aren't listed, "register" for something else and make the gift amount the same as the amount of the tour. Once you get the money In your account, it's not specifically allocated for anything particular. So basically you could take the money and go to the casino with it if you really wanted to. The registry won't actually coordinate things for you like tours, having strawberries delivered to your room etc. you receive the money and need to coordinate all that yourself :)

Don't worry, I was wrong. It has changed since I did it.
