My family has decided to give my son and his bride a Disney World honeymoon as a wedding gift. My son is in the Army, so their time at Disney will be short because he has to get back to Fort Carson.

They are getting married on Dec. 26 in Texas and will be at Disney World Dec. 27-30. We have booked them a package, staying at Pop Century for 3 nights with park hopper and Disney Dining. They have reservations at Crystal Palace (Pooh is Tiffany's favorite character), 50s Prime Time, and Chef Mickeys.

I've been to Disney a few time with my family, but I'm looking for tips and suggestions for Daniel and Tiffany. (Daniel has been as a child, but Tiffany has never been.)

Please share your best suggestions and ideas!

I would suggest doing dinner some where at the GF, it is a really romantic resort and they could spend some time just walking around the resort after a nice meal.

Congratulations to your Son and what a nice gift!

Make sure their reservation has that they are celebrating their Honeymoon and also on the reservations at the restaurants.

Tell them to pick up the Just Married or Happily Ever After pins at check in or at guest services at the gates to wear in the parks and resort as you never know what magic that may bring them.

Resorts like POFQ and POR they have carriage rides, there is also parasailing and fireworks cruise. Watching the fireworks from the beach at the Poly or Grandfloridian.

Anymore tips ladies on what they can do?

I know that you have already booked the resort...but had you thought of "Shades of Green"? It is a disney resort just for the military and is super inexpensive. The downside is that you can't participate in Disney dining. But it might be worth checking in on pricing and seeing which is the best deal. Disney resort with Disney Dining Package or Shades of Green and cash to spend on dining.

When they check in, they can purchase tickets to all of the Orlando attractions at Shades of Green and get military discounts.

I stayed there last time we were at Disney and it was great! It originally was a Disney Resport, but they sold it to the US Military. It is just like staying at any other Disney Resort as they have buses that take you where ever you need to go.

Look at the disney floral site as they do special "honeymoon" packages where they decorate the room.

You can also order a "glass slipper" that can be delivered during a special meal at a Disney restaurant.

There is a picture of it if you scroll down on this page:

Here is a thread that discusses it:

Just thought about the Wishes Dessert Party at Magic Kingdom. That is a nice event to attend.

congratulations!!! Did you look into getting the the New Military discount that is out? never mind scratch that, I just realized the dates and can not guarantee that the tickets will be available for that time frame:sad2:. I noticed that you said that SOG was booked during those dates, but did you know that they will allow you to book overflow rates at WDW for about the same cost:eek::ssst:

The plans you have made sound very lovely!! I am not sure if you alerted POP that they were celebrating their honeymoon, but you may want to if they decide to pixiedust:them. I think that it is very nice of your family to do that. Ft. Carson huh, I haven't been to Colorado springs in years:love:

Please thank your son for his service for us. I have a son and a daughter in the army and I am also a proud army mom!

I would book them dinner at Victoria & Alberts if you/they can afford it. It's really pricey, but a very special experience!

A Wishes or Illuminations Cruise is also really neat & you can order private dining there as well.

The Hoop De Doo Revue is a really fun dinner show at Fort Wilderness!
