Disney Holiday Video/DVD

Has anyone ever actually received one of the video/DVDs that Disney advertise in mags and on TV?

I have rung up the advertised number 3 or 4 times in the past couple of years - but have never yet received the promised item.

When you ring up, there are quite a few questions that you have to answer (about when you plan to travel and whether you have been before) so I wonder if I have given the 'wrong' answers - and they don;t think it's worth sending me one!

Yes I have twice, one video in 2000 and a dvd earlier this year. this time though I had to ask twice to get it. I did hear that they sometimes run out and instead of keeping your details for when they next get them in they just don't bother so you have to ask again. Don't know if that is true. Hope you manage to get one soon.

Yes, we received one of the DVDs earlier this year - only about 2 weeks after I'd phoned and friends have just ordered theirs, so will keep you posted as to how and when it arrives

You also used to be able to order one on-line at www.disney.co.uk. Look in the resort vacations section - as I say that used to be the case, don't know whether they still do.

I ordered mine over the internet earlier this year. I applied and waited 6 weeks and still hadn't received it so I applied again (with the same answers to the questions) and it came in less than a week.

Thanks - you've convinced to give it one more try. I've just requested the DVD from the internet site. It promises that I'll receive it within 10 days - but I think that's too optimistic, with Christmas post etc

I had the same experience as Dimplenose. Ordered one earlier this year and forgot about it. Re-ordered and it was delivered within a week!

I ordered mine on line too a few months ago and it came in just over a week. I only tried to order it once as well. Shame they don't do one for Disneyland Paris, I would love to see a DVD of the resorts there before we go at Easter.

There is a video for Disneyland Paris. I got mine when I booked a trip for my DD's 18th birthday - I think the video came with the tickets. It will probably be out of date now though, the trip was 3 years ago.

To be honest - I don't think I need it. All the arrangements for our next trip are now made. I was more curious to see whether people actually got them!
