My DH and I are considering a stay at HHI in early December. I have a few questions for those of you who have stayed during that time frame. I know that early December is typically a slower time of year; are there still people around the resort? I know that the Beach Pool will be closed. With the resort pool being heated will it be warm enough to swim and sit by the pool? What are the "typical" day time temperatures at the time of year? I would love to be able to sit by the pool with a good book! Finally, will any of the resorts dining areas (I don't know how many they have) be available for use. Thanks so much.

All the weather questions are answered by: Maybe!

This past December it was in the high 70s almost every day before Christmas. In the past, we've had 40s and 80s.

I'd plan for the worse and hope for the best.

The grill at the pool will be open. I believe that the one at the beach house will be open. Come to think about it, I think the pool will be open too. It's heated too. Unfortunately, the ocean will NOT be warm no matter what the air temp.

Can't be more precise!

Thanks so much. Coming from Connecticut, anything above 60 is great!

We are from Michigan and last spring break it was 59 degrees one day. We actually got fried hanging by the pool. Pool is heated and if the sun is out it can feel quite warm due to the location also being protected from the wind.
