Disney has something HUGE happening! It's OFFICIAL...post #1

Now I just did it again on the website - exact same info - now $2502 instead of $2211. Kind of irksome, let me tell ya!

Bummer, I was told that my club level deluxe room I have booked on January 16th through the 23rd was not eligible for this offer, though the lady I spoke with at the WDW reservation office said that the offer may not be fully loaded for all resorts and that I should call back, just in case.

I'm really surprised, but this offer includes SPRING BREAK!

I figured it would be excluded!

This is the quote I got:

Disney's Pop Century Resort

Check Out: March 20, 2009

========================================
Grand Total ...........$1,465.32 (includes tax)

(- Subtract out the $200 Gift Card)
=========================================

Final Total................$ 1,265.32

Gonna have to look seriously at this....!

Thats AWESOME!!! :cool1:

For those of you trying quotes online, make sure you take out options you dont want (park hopper, waterparks). You can also change the amount of days (tickets) you want, it even shows you how much it will deduct from your package for each option. Also, sometimes they'll give you a quote for a preffered room, so you can change it to standard and it will lower your quote as well.

If you have annual/seasonal passes, you have to alteast buy one days worth of tickets. It will drop your quote a lot.

What if you have AP's and don't need park tickets?
The best you can do is book the package with 1 day base tickets. And this is only online(according to Mousesavers.com). You could just save the tickets and upgrade to an AP when it's time for you to renew.

If we only have to be one day of tickets, it might be worth it. I am getting nowhere on their websight though.

Okay, here is the quote I got...

February 1-8
Pop Century 7 nights
1 day base tickets

total $533
-$200 gc
$333

or

February 1-8
Pop Century 7 nights
1 day base tickets
quick service dining plan

total $953
-$200 gc
$753

I would save about $50 booking this deal w/ qs dining plan over free dining in September. That is if they are even offering a free dining plan in Sept. Now, I just have to check airfare. Hopefully I can find something reasonable.

goto the disney website on the left i believe second box down stay 4 days and get 3 free I got a quote for asmu preferred room with quickservice meals and parkhoppers for 2 people $1046.16

Okay, I must be really dumb :headache: I can't for the life of me get this price. It keeps coming to $1,433.16 - 2 people - ASMu, preferred, quick service and park hopper (no water park option)...what am I missing?! :sad2: ($397 is A LOT!)

I just got off the phone. French quarter was already gone in the first 2 wks of Jan. They quoted 904 for 7 days for 1 at port orleans. I think the base room rate is now about 150 +tax on mods which is way up from 129 for before Thanks giving 2 yrs ago. It shows how much they have been jacking the rates. Airfare from chgo to orlando is way up. I saw from 200-450 depending when you wanted to travel with few direct flights anymore. So when i look at all of it & that slash mt will be closed even with the discount it still might not be affordable any longer. :sad1:

Pop Century Jan 30-Feb 6 for $845.88 with 8 day base ticket; then I added on 2 nights with AAA rate for $158 for a total of $1004 for 9 nights. If you deduct $200 gift card that brings the total down to $804 since I would be bringing money to buy food with anyways. What a great deal since we already had resrvations for that time in February.

I made reservations for 2 adults and 3 children but really have 4 children coming. One child has an AP and I'm not paying a base ticket because I don't need it and don't see why I can't add the child to the reservation later on.

Do you think WDW will have a problem putting the additional child's name on the reservation? The room I book accomodates 6 so I won't be over capacity and wouldn't dream of trying to leave a child out for that reason. If I can't, I can't; I'll just cancel it. I just happened to get it done online and didn't want to have to wait on hold for an answer.

Any thoughts? Thanks. :goodvibes

I can't come up with the $1046 figure either. The pp said their dates were 2/8-2/14...that is only 6 nights, not 7. Maybe that is the difference.

well I wan't going to book..but DH did it anyway! :goodvibes
7 nights @ ASMovies / 2 adults / 2 kids / park hopper / dining plan
$2300. :goodvibes

OK - decided against it... DVC is paid for, I have great rooms & dates booked, no point in meddling with something the kids and I are perfectly happy with :goodvibes I love DVC.

It's just *SO* hard to pass up on a deal :lmao:

If you book now can you cancel without losing any money if you cancel before 45 days before your stay? I don't think we'd cancel but you never know what can come up. We originally planned on going in 2009 and then decided to wait so this wasn't a planned trip but I would hate to lose out on this deal. Thanks

Would I be able to book the package online with the 1 day base tickets and upgrade to AP's with the 1 day tickets?

Also... we would be arriving on my ds's birthday. What do I need to show to get the $75 gift card for him?

And does anyone know what the $200 gift card is good for?

I can't get it to work.....I'm trying with POP, I'm getting $1800 without airfare....NO way is that a deal for me...I'll stick with my planned DL AP's and 4 b-day trips this year instead. :( A bit sad because I'd love to do WDW for my b-day, my girls and I have never been.
