Disney has released room discounts from June 11 through August 1, 2018, but I can't seem to order a room.

I am on hold waiting for a Disney cast member since I can't get anything on line.

Well there is no availability for any of my nights for the room discount special for Wednesday, June 13, 2018 - Sunday, June 17, 2018.

I guess that is why none of the rooms were available online also.

Their dates are messed up for August. Some places say thru Aug 31 and others Aug1. I was able to check it for late August at aoa and it was valid.

It's through August 30. The discounts get lower from August 2-30, so a lot of their marketing materials emphasize the August 1 date.

I learn more and more every year about these discounts. Just because there are rooms available doesn't mean WDW is going to give a discount. I'm seeing availability at the Poly for my dates, yet there is no discounts available for those same dates at the Poly. In fact I don't see any room discounts available at the Poly for my dates. I'm wondering if it would be worth it to check every so often to see if something pops up?

Wow I am surprised it does not exclude POFQ..... maybe there is hope they will do a room only discount in the fall.

Was able to get POP for 8/14 to 20 for 124$ average a night. Sale page still says thru 8/1 but when you click on the calendar the fine print says 8/30. Thanks dis- I wasnt expecting summer sale til April- these rooms wont last long.

I had to check the rates on my phone to see if I would save anything on my current reservation because on my computer it kept saying it was a canadian offer.

Once I confirmed that there were some discounted rooms available I called and while I was on hold I tried to modify my current reservation. I was able to modify my current reservation online so I hung up the phone.

I need to request that I want a refurbished room at Pop Century but figure today isn't the day to sit on hold forever for that request. I'll wait a few days. Plus I need to add my flight info since my disney experience says they need my flight info for magical express. I'll do that at the same time I make my room request.

Keep calling! There were discounts for my room online but it wouldn't let me modify online so I called. Took an hour but I got my discount ($500!!!). So then I tried to modify my parent's reservation and the cast member on the phone said it wasn't available even though it was online. I hung up and called back and got them their discount too!

I was able to apply the summer fun promo to my 7/28-8/3 reservation online today. We are staying at POR in a garden view room. I saved $400 - but I also dropped a night off the reservation, so that is half of my savings. But savings is savings!

Wow, good for you! We're booked POR garden view 7/27-8/4 and only saved $166!!! Take it times our 3 rooms and we save $500. Wouldn't have saved any if we weren't already booked when parking fees were added. Phew

I had to give up a night of magic to save more than you per room, lol. But I realized that since we are driving, we can still go to a park on 8/3 if we want, then get a few hours of driving done and stay somewhere cheap that night. I am the sole driver on an 18 hour drive back to PA, so if figure the head start is a good idea, even if it isn’t what I really want.

yeah got to say it was a big let down. I have an 11 night stay at the poly starting 6/12, and when i called guest services about the discounts, they said they could apply $13 worth of them, not the %15 like advertised. She did say to check back weekly all the way up to the trip. not sure if we will get anything though.

Why could you only apply $13?

because there were no rooms for the main package during my dates. They applied some other discount and mentioned i would get free dining, but since i have the deluxe dining plan, it didnt help much. Tell you the truth these discount checks are probably better left to the pro's. it is frustrating trying to figure out all of the combos. My current trip is budgeted, booked, and payed for. I will keep trying each week like they suggested but if i get anything, i will just consider it a plus.
