Disney half marathon at Epcot

i just realized the day we have set for Epcot is the half marathon day. Is the park going to be crazy crowded. I think it might be too late to switch plans because of fast passes and restaurant rezzies. Disney planning is so stressful!

What is your day at Epcot? We will be in Epcot Sunday, February 25th, and I thought that was the marathon day, too, but I'm not changing our plans.

We are actually going to be there the 22nd and I realized it is one of the smaller races. We are going to take our chances because at this point changing fast passes and dining might be tough. A few years ago we were at HS in Jan when the marathon was going on. It was fun to see the runners but difficult to get around the park. I remember it not being overly crowded but I chalked that up to so many rides being closed at HS at that time.

On the 22nd likely won't be a lot different. No races that day. There will be people coming in that day to get bibs for races the next day but that is just the 5k. Many more people will come in Fri for the challenge on Sat/Sun.

on the 22nd you likely won't see much of a difference in the parks from the race.

That weekend there will be a few more people around because of people in town fro the races. The only day the parks will be affected will be Sunday for the half but that will be just for the first hour or so at epcot. The half isn't like the full where people are still out there at 1-2pm.

Other then probably a higher crowds during the weekend shouldn't be a huge huge impact.
