Disney Ground Transfers?

So I tried to find this answer in older posts but I couldn't seem to find it.

I know that if I take the Disney Ground Transfer from the airport to the port then they take care of the checked luggage from my flight and it ends up at my stateroom, which is awesome. But what about carry-on baggage? Is there some why to check bigger baggage to be sent directly to the stateroom at port or...?

I'm going on my first Disney cruise next weekend (it was a LATE minute decision) and I'm going with my aunt who is in a wheelchair as her companion. I'm just concerned that it'll be hard to drag her small wheeled carry-on (especially with pushing her) around until we get our staterooms in the evening. She's an overpacker, though, so a smaller carry-on is not an option in her mind.

Has anyone else had this problem or have any advice? I'd greatly appreciate it!

You can check in carryons when you check in for the DCL transfer. I'll just point out that you shouldn't have anything in those carry ons that is important (paperwork/IDs/medications/electronics/cameras). The checked bags are not particularly handled gently.

Oh and no liquids in the carry-ons if you plan on checking them at the port. All liquids need to be carried on.

Not "liquids" per se.

Beverages must be carried on. But things like shampoos and other liquids (not beverages) can certainly be in checked bags.
