Disney Groom Hats

Hello everyone!
As a lot of you already know their is a frenzy going on with the Groom hats. I am so upset that they decided to stop selling the top hat because of course thats the one my fiancée wanted. We are so excited to be getting married next month at WDW and I have always wanted to do the wedding ears. My question is, are the tuxedo ones currently being sold on property? I have been so crazy with the wedding plans that I have not been able to go and check. I have come to terms that unless I find it online my fiancée won't have the top hat, but he agreed to wear the other one (he is not too happy though). I wanted to know if we had an option because when we went for Christmas no groom ears were anywhere to be found. I will appreciate any feedback. Thank so much and have a magical day!

If your DH has a large head, he won't be able to wear it anyway. Heck, even a "kinda big" head. Those things are *small!* DH was never able to wear his, and it just sits in our closet now.

Thanks for the info, I don't consider him big headed, but if this has been a problem for some folks, It probably would have been a problem for him too . Do you know if they are selling the tux ones on property right now?

Wow it seems Disney don't want people to get married there anymore and thats bad news for my wedding plans .Cause I was looking forward to just married buttons and the hat to wear.

I wouldn't give up on it. It was a really nice experience that I wouldn't trade.

As for the hats-- the hats were pretty cheaply made to begin with, I don't think you're missing out!

I *think* I saw them in December, but I can't say for 100% certain.

I was at Disney end of Dec beginning of Jan. I was told to check some store at the front of Magic Kingdom (Le Chapeau???) When I was talking to the lady who worked there she told me that they discontinued them because they are revamping them. She was married in August of last year and couldn't get them herself either. She did not know when they would be coming out with the new ones. Doesn't really matter to me now as we are a "old married couple now"

Thanks for all the replies! My Disney groom is not crazy with the idea of the ears, but was going to do it because I have always wanted to do it. I guess I will be solo wearing my veil ears

but I know we will still have a magical vacation!

Take the ears off of a regular Mickey hat and attach them to a tophat.

It is not that hard to do either... I mean I put ears on a hard hat for crying out loud...

For my hubby, I personalized a hat from disneystore.com that said Groom on the back. Then I attached ears to it. It's not as cute as the top hat, but way better than the other style they have. And it offered better sun protection. I made myself one, too, attaching the veil and ears to a white baseball hat. I used that during the day and the headband at night.
