We have reservation at the Disneyland Grand Californian. Will it be possible to check in early, say 6:00am then store our luggages there (since the room will not be ready until 3:00pm) then visit the park to take advantage the magic hour that starts at 8:00am? Thanks!

It's possible to check-in before the room is ready, but you usually need a room key to take advantage of EMH.

Yes. You can do pre check in at 6am and they will give you room keys!

We did exactly what you are suggesting when we stayed at Paradise Pier. We stayed 1 night but had two mornings of EMHs. I don't remember what we had since it probably wasn't a key card. Call the hotel. But I do know it's possible.

We have done this several times at all 3 hotels. They will give you key cards when you check in and will text your room number when your room is ready.

You can check in early and get your room keys, then they will text you your room number when it is ready.

Yes! We stayed our first night at a cheaper hotel close by once, then checked in at DLH and made it to the park for EMH.

Yup...as mentioned you can check in as early as you want. You will get keys, hold your bags then text you your room number when it is ready so you can go hit the parks as early as you want.

With say a one night reservation, you actually get 2 FULL days (arrival day and departure day) of hotel parking, EE, and pool access even though check in is 3pm and check out is 11am.

We do this every time we stay onsite. They will give you a room key and text you the room number when the room is ready.

Yes one more confirmation here. Pull up to the valet and the bell man will take your luggage to store. Check in at the front desk and you will receive your room keys for early entry. The hotel will text your room number once it's ready. A great perk!

Thank you all for the confirmation. I'm glad I ask here. I received the respond from Disneyland but was not helpful, the cast member didn't confirm nor deny the benefit so we still be left "hanging" if we didn't ask here!

Yes, all of the local hotels will store your luggage for you before you take occupancy of the room. They will also store them for you if you check out and want to spend some time in the park before you leave.

If you check out before going to the park, don't you have to give your room key card back? How do you get in for the EMH?

You do not need to give your room key card back. It has the dates printed on them so a Cast Member will know if you are not currently staying at the hotel.

Oh gracious no! I haven't been to any U.S. hotels in decades that have you turn in the plastic keycard. And definitely not Disney hotels. Your name is printed on them. They tell you straight up that they are souvenirs.
