Disney golf course

Hi

Has anyone been and played at the disney golf course.

Thinking of droping the teenagers at park one morning and then having a game of golf with hubby.

If any one has been would love to know a few things:
Do you require a handicap?
Are the different course graded?
Are the buggies expensive to hire?

No idea myself, but I am amazed people would want to spend so much money then go play golf We all have our own tastes I guess, hope someone can help you out!

I guess though, it's time away from the kids for a while, so fair enough

I can't remember anyone on here mentioning playing but we did chat to a man whilst waiting for the bus one day who used to play every day. They had brought their grandchildren on holiday and whilst his wife and the grandchildren played in the parks he played golf. I guess the course must be OK otherwise he wouldn't have gone every day.

We have been to dlp several times but golf is a new love of mine and hubby so I know a bit of a waste of a park ticket but it will only be in the morning and it gives us a chance to try a different golf course. Also it is my birthday.

hey, I wasn't slamming it at all, I guess if they had a racetrack near by, i'd take a morning to do that aswell!

The Club House is in the shape of a giant golf ball, and houses the bar and restaurant, Goofy's Pro Shop and changing rooms. The Bar and restaurant over looks the green of the 18th hole, and the changing rooms have showers. You can bring your own clubs and shoes, or hire them.

The course has three fairly equal 9’s. Peter Pan, Alice and Winnie. There is not too much differance between them. All have the same open terrain, occasional water, plenty of bunkers, with large and firm greens.

The holes are well laid out and the rough never too punishing. The Peter Pan and Alice combination consists of two nine hole loops that both circumnavigate the Radisson Blue Hotel and Marriott's Village d'lle-de-France in opposite directions.

I used the Radisson Blue Hotel / Marriott's Village d'lle-de-France shuttle bus there and a taxi back to the Disney Village. The taxi fare was about 16 Euros. If your taking your own clubs it's best to have your own transport.

I did not bother with buggie. We were on the Half Board Plus Meal Plan and after six days of three course meals, and morning pastries at Salon Mickey I could do with the exercise!

Just bumping up this old thread as Dh would like to golf when we are there next month.

I emailed them twice, no reply.
So I phoned today.
They quoted €45 to play with €27 extra to hire clubs.
I told them we are staying in Cheyenne so she said cost would be €38 for the round.

Anyone know if this is about right?
Am I entitled to extra discount being a shareholder, if I book for Dh?
Any idea is it ok to wear runners?

It has prices for renting shoes or you can bring your own so I wouldn't be suprised if you had to have them

I can't remember now if you get a shareholders discount, but you do get one in the shop, at the club house bar, and in the and resturant.
