How can he prove that the stroke he had 23 days later was actually caused by ToT? He just apparently wants to provide his grandchildren with their college funds by suing Disney. Whatever.
Give me a break . . . .
The key to Disney's defense (and this guy losing - badly) is hinted at briefly in the article linked.
ToT -- while it seems like a lot of 'stress' is placed on the body.. actually doesn't place any more 'Gs' on your body than a ride in a fast car.
And actually lesser force acts on your body than even Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.. (or probably Goofy's Barnstormer)..
This guy (and his lawyer) are out to lunch on this one.
This is right up there with the person who sued Disney back in the late 80's because they claimed the elevator ride to "Seabase Alpha" at "The Living Seas" punctured his ear drums with the speed of the descent.
The "Hydrolator" actually moved about 2 inches up and down to simulate the elevator ride. Disney's defense consisted of opening both sides of the Hydrolator doors to show that the elevator didn't move more than 2 inches up and down to simulate the start and end of the elevator ride.
Quickest lawsuit ever.
True story too.

Frankly, it's more stressful driving in Boston than a ride on ToT.![]()
When will people begin to understand that things happen in life...and it's not always somebody's fault?
Ear drums rupture all the time and it's really no big deal!
