I bought 80 $50 cards with the 20% discount in November. I took the cards to a customer service person, who called the manager to help. I didn't want to hold up a check-out line if there was a problem. I had the Redcard debit card at the time (since switched to the credit card after the data breach--seemed safer). She rang up all the cards, and then it wouldn't go through because the $3100+ was so high. I had enough money in my account. She had me call the bank from her phone, they verified that I had more than enough money and said it must be Target's issue. So the manager then called some Target number for help/an override. They kept trying, but it didn't work. Then they told her I'd have to buy fewer at a time and do multiple transactions so each one wouldn't be so high. The manager didn't want to do that (neither did I since it took a long time to enter all 80 cards and we didn't want to start over), but then she decided to let me use my Disney visa (which gave me the extra 1%) and just deducted the 5% I would have gotten if I'd used my Redcard. So I actually ended up with a better deal! So anyway, I'd be prepared to go directly to customer service rather than a checkout line, because I'm pretty sure it WILL be a problem to buy 120 cards at one time even though you have enough money in your account. But you should be able to do it if you're patient! Good luck!! I sure felt it was worth the trouble for the savings!
