Hi. Hoping to get some advice from those who have bought gift cards in the past. I'm planning to buy some Disney gift cards to use for dining on our upcoming disney vacation in November. Never got them before. I read where once you have them, you can "reload" them. That's exactly what I'm looking for, except I have two questions about that.

1. Do you have to use up the entire amount of the card before you can reload it? Or can you just add money on to it whenever you like?

2. When you reload, can it be for any dollar amount you want (e.g., $12)? Or does it have to be for the same amount as the original gift card (e.g. $25 card, $50 card, $100 card, etc.)

TIA for your help.

You should be able to reload them any time you want after the initial purchase. I don't remember what the minimum was, but I want to say $5. I don't think there's any problem loading oddball totals ($12 like your example) because the cards are not sold in specific increments. You can choose whatever total you want between the minimum and the highest limit (not sure what that is either, but I would think in the thousands of dollars.)

Thanks, Rosie! So, the cards aren't already printed up with certain denominations on them then? Like, if I went online to buy one (from the disney store) for $50, the card doesn't actually have $50 pre-printed on it?

Correct. The card amount is not printed on it. You need to keep track of the value of your card(s)
