Disney gift cards

Can you buy gift cards at the disney store that you can use in Disney World...I'd like to give some to family as gifts for them to use this summer at WDW. My intention is to cover their meal plan with gift cards so they don't have to come up with any cash at check in. Can you use gift cards towards the meal plan?

You can use the Disney gift cards to pay for the meal plan, I believe. We used the Disney Visa Rewards Card last year, and plan to this year, for our meal plan. I'm pretty sure that when I called to double check on this, they said you could use the Disney Gift Card as well. Incidentally, we give each of our four kids a gift card before each trip. (we put ten dollars on it for every holiday instead of buying a lot of Valentine's or Easter candy that they don't need) That makes souvenier shopping SO much easier. Kids aren't as anxious to spend when it's their own money, and there's no surprise spending when we get to the park. (well, that doesn't count what happens when I get to the World of Disney )

Yes, the gift cards from Disney Store can be used at Disney World (or Disney Land). You can also buy Disney dollars at the Disney Store if there are young ones who are traveling and you want to give them their own spending money.

yes you can...n for this july trip i buy one gift card everytime i get paid....kinda like a bill ...so that when we go to disney I should have all the spending money that i will need. and then hopefully no extra spending
