I would like to buy some Disney Gift Cards for our kids for our upcoming trip (a few months away still). I tried online but was informed that it was only for US addresses.

I know Target in the US has them but does anyone know if the new Canadian Targets carry them?

Any other way?

While I don't know of another way, I can tell you that the Canadian Target stores do not sell the Disney gift cards. When I asked they thought I meant iTunes cards with Disney characters.

I was going to suggest trying a Canadian Target store but now the PP has said they had no luck. Bummer. What about going to a Disney store?

I have never checked a Disney store, the one closest to me closed down awhile ago, but even if they have it how would you save any money? I believe the OPs intention was to buy the gift cards with the Target 5%/10% (pharmacy coupon, which I also believe we don't get) discount.

If I'm wrong, however, and you're just looking for gift cards for the kids to carry in the parks, then the Disney Store is probably a good bet. Maybe your best bet North of 49. :thumbsup2

Sorry. I don't think it is possible. I looked everywhere and didn't find any. Unless you live near the border or know someone in the US that can mail them to you, you are out of luck.

I just got my nephews American money and wrapped them in 'Disney Dollars' I printed. Perhaps you could print the Disney dollars and then exchange them for a card once you get to Disney?

Good luck and have a great trip!

There's no way to get them - we tried for our trip last October. I ended up doing a gift card exchange with a friend in Michigan. She wanted one for Roots in CDN funds, and I wanted a Disney one in USD. She mailed me one, and I mailed her one back. It worked out great for us.

You can get gift cards at the Disney store in Canada, but they will be in Canadian funds. You'd need a USD one for use at Disney.

You can order them online from the Disney Parks website. However, they change you $25 to ship them!

Sorry I don't have better news for you. Maybe someone else has had better luck.

Thanks for all of your replies. I was pretty certain there was no way to get them here in USD in Canada.

As for the comment about a % off at Target in the US, I didn't know about this offer. I may look into it though because I know someone in the US who could get them for me and mail them to me.

I am actually going to the States in a few weeks (well before our trip) so I'll buy some then. I was just hoping to buy them a little bit at a time so I don't feel the hit so hard if I got them all at once.

Thanks again!

Note that the cards are reloadable (or at least the ones we got at WDW last March are), so don't toss them once they're done.

The main reason why the Disney gift cards are linked with Target on this board is because with the Target Red Card you'll save 5% on your purchase. If you get your prescriptions filled at Target, they'll give you a coupon after 3 (?) filled prescriptions good for an additional 5% off. And that's when people load up on the gift cards.

Otherwise you can just get the gift cards pretty much anywhere. Anywhere in the US, that is.

I wonder if the Canadian gift cards would work in the World? I know I can use my Home Depot gift cards cross-border. Maybe we're just assuming they won't work.

Unfortunately Canadian Disney gift cards are not able to be used in WDW, mostly due to exchange.

Where do you live in Canada? Are you near a border city? I always buy my stuff from Disney online, then have it shipped into the US, where I pick it up. Have purchased gift cards this way before. I live about 15 min from the border BUT you could make it a day trip to pick them up. Unless of course, you are very far away:goodvibes
