Disney Gift Cards, Ebates, and Credit Card Rewards

I was planning to get the Target debit card to save 5% and buy Disney gift cards to pay for our Disney trip, but today I realized Ebates is 4% for the Disney Store and my credit card gives me 2%. Am I missing something? I'm thinking I can save 6% without doing through Target.

Ebates doesn't give you cash back for gift card purchases unless they specifically state so. Some people have been successful buying Disney GCs and getting the credit, but I would not count on it, especially for just 1% on savings.

I like ebates, I use it for traveling mostly. It pays quarterly. Better than owing fees for a card.
